Event Coverage Nostalgia Sid's Alley Party & Open House March 13, 2010

Sid (55 Mercury) is having an alley party at his shop in Guthrie, Oklahoma and will be serving chili and drinks. If you are very close to this area, you will have to come by and check it out. We will be closing off the alley to park the old vehicles up close to the shop. Also, don't forget to bring some chairs. You can see how and where he drops all the axles. Thats a great Idea! A great way to start off the spring runs in Oklahoma, a good time to see fellow HAMBers and discuss the coming events and see Sid doing a dropped axle! WOW!

 

Not sure he will be dropping any axles while we are there, but he might...

At my get together I will not be dropping axles. I'll be busy enough getting things ready and keeping up with everything. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone..

Sorry Tim I don't have a band playing. I would ask you to play but I didn't want run everyone off.....

 

Thats okay, last time I picked the band for the SK show, they were late and then they were playing that uh, stuff uh, you know, Kill your baby, kill your parents, my life ****s I guess death metal? I-tunes to the rescue again!

 

I am going to take a mental note here...don't ask Tim to book a band...

How late will it be going on?

 

I am guessing as long as folks want to hang out...If you can't come until later, you might give Sid a call on his cell phone that is listed on the flyer to make sure it is still going on.

 

And tell the wifes and children that Sid is right on the edge of Historic Downtown Guthrie, plenty of shops to see and vintage old buildings, something for everyone, all within walking distance.

 

Just went by and talked to Sid today...a week and a half and counting!

 

Man, the weather today is making me take a "Buisness Lunch" and breakout the '47 for a drive! Just can't wait for all the meets to start and what a great way to kick it off by starting at Sids....

 

I'll have the '37 up there, I'm hoping. I'll be there, regardless!

 

The 10 day forcast says high of 61 and no rain. That's sounds great to me!!!! Hope it's true....

 

Sid, do we need to bring chairs or can we lean on your cars as picnic tables??

 

Yes bring your chairs. We'll put the tail gate down on your pickup and use it. I was at the Shawnee swap meet and there was allot of people say they are coming. Hope this will be a nice cruise in.
