Bump this one back to the top we don't want to forget this tragedy.

Luckily from the support here we now have $650 committed to go to Jason from one auction with two others gathering even more. It's not a lot and it will never replace what was lost but hopefully this will provide the support to get Jason back on his feet.

Talked with Jason last night. He has most of his money tied up in parts for the cars that burnt, but his expenses go on and no income. I have a list of parts that will be going his way when he has a palce to store them. Come on guys, most of you have somthing or even a few bucks to help.

  17. If the shop is cleaned out, what are you going to take pics of?

That has to be one of the "worst" pictures John's ever posted if you know what I mean.

If anyone can convey the true damage and loss by using pictures, It'll be John.

Wow that really captures the devastation in all of this.

But it's good to hear Jason has already started to rebuild even if it's just small steps.

Jason needs all the help he can get. I know things a tough for some, but lets do what you can to help. He has lost his lively hood and bills keep coming in. He doesn't have room to store parts at the present, so I'm holding a bunch until he has room. I know cash is what he needs at the present. Lets show what the HAMB can do to help a brother.

    well put!

i have a handful of items that were shipped here for jason. i will hang on to them til he needs them or has some room.

i have 'donated' tons of my time but my dad and i are trying to get supplies so that we can lay a kick ass epoxy down on his new floor in the shop!

This is my biggest fear, and there is nothing you can do to avoid it. Jason, I dont know you but I know rodders and we are a hearty bunch, I would like to think that if this happened to me all of you would try to help me in any way you could. so with that being said, I am not that far from you, I am in southwest mo. and I have 3 34 ford cowel sections, some fenders, I have a 50 merc 4-door, and a 49 merc 4-door, plus some more merc parts, this is my donation to you, it is not nice stuff it is not anything near what you had and it cannot replace what you had, but it will give you something to go out and beat around on and mess with. Hopefully it will help get your mind off some of the terrible loss of this fire. Just drop me a PM or call me at 417-593-0885 Jim

    This is so sad.
Harrison had a great suggestion re the sale of fire photos. I'd love to buy one to place on my shop wall, just as a reminder of what terrible things can happen. When I built ny small shop three years ago, I plumbed the ceiling for fire sprinklers, but never got around to installing the heads. I ordered them today!
This should be a real wake-up call to all of us regarding the dangers of fire. I know that I would never recover, especially at my age.
I really hope things work out for Jason

im not getting into details but Jason is in a bind that is incomprehensible. It doesnt have as much to do with the cars damaged as much as it has EVERYTHING to do with his family and 2 small children!

We are asking everyone to kick in ATLEAST a $10 donation...

It all adds up! Thanks guys (and gals).
