I know, this thread popped back up a few days ago and now I have all sorts of enerfy to work on my coupe. I got the firewall patches pretty much all in and it should be ready for some filler this week. I'm taking the spindles in tomorrow to get rebushed and the fornt end should be my focus early next week.

Still need to rebuild the rear with a nice set of 3.54's that I have which is holding me up because I do not have the slightest clue what's going on there. But I reversed the eyes and have the shackles ready to go so once I get the rear done I should have th car back on the ground waiting for the engine to be plopped in. Starting to thinkI want a multi carb intake though which is just stupid to think about right now with so many other things to take care of. Oh well!! Keep the inspiration coming, I am loving it!!!

Yah ,I know what you mean. He had it quite a while and was sounding pretty firm on his price. There wasn't a part on it that wasn't going to require lots of time, but the basics were there. The one key piece I never saw was the rear body panel behind the seat though. As you said, the bedsides were pretty much paterns only, but you don't get many chances at buying one. It looks much better now! I'm glad you picked up and are moving forward on it! Dave

This thread is just rubbing salt into my wounds... Here are two projects I regretably sold in the last 6 months or so. :(

Dad and my 36's. The PU and 5-window are long gone. For awhile we could not walk out of the house without stumbling over a 36.

Here's the inside. 1936 car dash w/ waterfall... just to keep them guessing.

  19. Here's a pic of John's 35 Ford coupe. If you don't know John is the guy with Vintage Torque and is putting on the Vintage Torque Fest. The car is at my house currently, slowly making it's way home to John.

John, there are plenty of places that can make you the glass.

    $85 here. http://www.classicflatglass.com

There is a HAMBer that sells glass, in the HAMBodex. He may have the pattern too.

I have the front glass already - but will need back and side rears immediately
    also need a water pump.

    Any advice on replacing that?

I don't think Speedway has water pumps for the early flatheads. You can get rebuild kits from Little Dearborn in the cities. They're not hard to rebuild.

My tudor is getting closer....took this pic today.

yeah - Speedway starts from '37 on up
I have been told to get a higher capacity water pump(s) to keep the flathead cooler........
anyone done this and where did you purchase?

Are they nice! Disturbing my shoebox-ford dream pretty heavily :) Maybe it is not the most correct place to ask , but is there a place from where I could find information about all the differences between 1935 and 1936 ford 3 window coupes?

    rgds,

The first post in this link shows a book by the Early Ford V8 Club ...on 35 / 36 Fords.
    http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=224613&highlight=35+36+fords+club

It lists the differences pretty well, with the main ones being the hood, grill and fenders...the body itself is the same.
