Mine was in deep storage for many, many years; in the family for 50 years this April. These shots were taken in the mid-80's, after "starting over", you might say. Had just replaced the Merc rear-end with a narrowed 9 inch pickup, checking fender clearance. Today, I'm back on it and full(?) steam ahead, (now that it's on my bucket list!) This is my old 33 truck. Built in LA in 55/6.239 y-block,lincoln OD trans,40 column shift,SW gauges and panel. The previous owner blew the engine up in 63 and primered in and parked it. I rescued it in 98.Sanded all the primer back off,rebuilt the engine and brakes. Got it all done but with the column shift and chop I couldn,t drive it comfortably so it went down the road. Sold it to Jim Busby and he has since sold it. Don,t know where it is now.
The 64 ford had 86,000 org miles, i finished the ''custom'' fenderwells. Cristines sister Bell. 58 bug fresh out of a fire, i drove it around like this for a while. people freaked.
Roger Bergquist built this in 1957/58. He raced it at the Orange, M*** drag races thru the 60's. He still drives it today. Look closely at the middle pic. That's snow packed on the front end. Got caught in a late Spring snow storm on the way to the Stroker's picnic, several years ago.
Hot-rod 40, I saw that on ebay not too long ago. I love survivors whether it be hot rods, customs, or even stockers!
Here is one I pulled out of a Garage in Columbus Ohio. It was built in the early 60's and still had 1966 Nebraska license plates on it from the last year it was driven. White homemade tuck and roll door panels with a Mexican blanket over the original mohair seat. Ford truck steering, 1959 Vette 283, 4spd, scalloped whitewall slicks that were at least 48 years old. It had a mint 25 louver hood on it too. The entire undercarriage and firewall were brush painted with white house paint. There was zero rust on this car anywhere!
That is so cool. that car would get more attention at a car show as is; than most of that big buck stuff. Especially with those old pie crusts.

After seeing his roadster.... I WISH Roger Bergquist was related to me....hehehe.... Great athletic stance...proper accessories for a durable car....channeled but not ground s****ing low....
Somebody sent me a PM saying they might have seen my old car in a magazine and asked if I'd post a few more pics. I'm not trying to be a thread hog, really, I'm not! This is the day I pulled her out. That's the guy that built her in the early 60's in the red shirt and my son in the chair.
Here is mine, is was originally built in the late 50's early 60's.. The rear end is a 56 chevy with homemade brackets attaching it to the Ford spring hangers, and was done when the rear end was a few years old, also was set up for a sbc then too, still had the torched hole in the crossmember. Battery was added to the firewall then. Other period mods were the addtion of the 40 Ford dash and SW gauges, and other than replacing bad gauges as needed that is intact as well. The front axle is new as Dad used a chrome one from a 42 Ford that was too wide and the tires hit the fenders, but the brakes are the same juice bakes. My dad bought the car in 71 and re did it in resto rod style (the silver pic is from 75 and that is me with the white hat) The paint is the color it was painted when done in late 50's ealr 60's and i added the 39 Ford tailights back as well. Still have the edelbrock c3B that was on it from the early 70's.
