You should live in an HOA community, because of my wife we live in a gated community, she was here before we met and married. You can;t fart without asking the powers to be.???????? I work on the rods and they come by and say that I can' keep the garage door open except to enter or leave. BULL ****. I have good neighbors and they don't complain. Have to keep peace in the family but enjoy giving the hoa a ****ing good time

Some folks express their freedom by seeking to limit yours. fences aroud junkyrds have been commom ordinances since Lady Bird Johnson's Beautify America campaigne whay back in the late 60's. Apparently some folks thing 20 cars is a junk yord.

Private property is a concept that has been treadover for now.

If you have to put the fence up put an ugly *** fence up.

My wife leased a Mazda Van. 3 year 36,000 miles. At the end of three years there were 20,000 miles on it. The guy tires were iffy (still more than enough tread to p*** inspection).

The guy who comes by to inpect the vehicle said that I would have to put tires on it or they would charge us $450. I said he was kidding as the vehicle only had 20,000 miles.

I bought a used set of all terrain white letter tires and put them on it. It looked like ***.

What you do when you "own" property is the right to pay taxes and sit on it. Other than that you own nothing.

I am in Wisconsin too, and went to court three times and it COST me every time and they kept raising the fines each time. I finally put up a wood fence so they couldn't SEE the cars from the highway.

I have TEN acres here, but am on a state highway and there are a LOT of people who don't think we should have cars that don't run and the state wants them licensed to get the money of course.

But in MY county, you are allowed to have 1/2 acre of unlicensed cars, trucks or whatever, as long as they can NOT be seen by p***ersby and the neighbors. Airplanes don't count. We are alllowed to have ONE car out by the highway to sell. During "car show week" they look the other way as we have a string of them out by the highway all over the area.

So no, you can NOT do WHAT you want. After all this is America, and so can the other people. And THEY don't want your "eyesores" where they can see them.

Here in Wisconsin, TWO or more cars that are not licensed AND running, designates that you have a junkyard.

being in Dallas...my Dad and I know the way it goes...even with commercial property...if the land next to you goes up for sale...most likley plan on a visit...like some have said trees hide alot...also try and be on the high side of the lane...I've been below before from the prop next door...still the same...if the land/building goes up for sale..expect a visit...:eek::eek:

  10. I promise, they are in need of generating funds, just to continue on. It's nothing more than business. They use scare tactics here in San Bernardino,Ca. In 2008 San Bernardino generated $600,000. That covered the cost of keeping the doors open for Code Enforcement. In '09 S.B brought in 2,400,000. I don't care for the way they act out of desperation.

We don't own property anymore in this country - we just rent it from the government...

Texas regulations are not tough. If the vehicle is not visible from the
street you're okay. If it is more than 300 feet from the road its okay.
This was the rule in rural Bexar county, which was based on the state
law. Inside city limits other rules may apply.

Build a good looking fence to keep the kids out. When new
homes were built behind us some kids began venturing into properities
as kids would do. Kids were getting blamed for busting stuff. Just try to
be a good neighbor, as you'd want your neighbors to behave and
the law will be on your side, or at least ... reasonable. This is the case
    in rural Texas.

just put up a sign that says "art museum" There's strict federal laws against the destruction and or removal of art by anyone other than the artist.
