Here are a few pics of a 32 5w, Been sitting since 62, when the owner put a new motor in it , it had a noise so he put it in the shed and never touched it again... Not for sale but still super cool to look at, maybe someday:D

Wow, you need to stop by there on a monthly basis and ask if it's for sale.

Uumm....yea....sooo what part of Colorado might this be in? But seriously if I were you I would go plead the case that's its just rotting away and you want to finish what he started that the car deserves it.

Looks like there was some serious money spent when this one went together. Does the owner have any plans for getting it our and running or is this one a "gonna fix it up some day" deal?

    AND...
when he says no, ask him to "tell me again about when you put the new motor in it. What was it running before this? What kind of wild stuff did you get up to back then?" You get the drift. If nothing else, you are sure to hear some great stories. At best you will make a friend. Somewhere in between those two scenarios, maybe he'll take a shine to you and you might get a shot at the car.

Oh yeah, very nice. But,serious 1962 money is not quite serious 2010 money.Worth following, culturing but not bugging. Hard to tell just what would pry it free after almost 50 years-how old is the owner anyway?

I dont have to wait like a vulture to get someone elses car.Its the same thing as waiting on someone elses wife.Get your own.Thats not the only one out there. There are tons of them that are for sale.I dont know how I am going to get all the projects I already have done.I wonder more what happened to the guy that he never got it going again. He is obviously one of us.Look at the time and money he put into his baby.We should encourage him to get back on the street.

I am not waiting for the car I think its super cool, my father in law is the guys care taker, buys his groceries, pays his bills, shaves his face and cuts his hair, unfortunatly the guy is nearly blind... I have all my cars and think this gives an idea of whats been done in the past.... The car will probably go to his daughters on his passing, he just loves to hold on to the past, can you blame him!!!!

why dont you offer to get it going for him and take him on one last spin before he passes, even if its just down the street. now that would be a very cool thing to do for a fellow hot rodder.

It sure does, This guy was it around the car scene here in the early sixtys, he also has a 56 pickup with a 430 lincoln, and had a 40 merc coupe that my father in law is thrashing on to take him for a spin... the motor in the duece didnt have oil pressure when they started it so he just left it... He didnt even finish putting the front end back together just let her sit.. P.S he bought it and started hot rodding it in 52!!!

  29. I can totally relate to this guy. How can holding on to possibly your best memory be a bad thing? I know how life get's in the way of Hot Rodding. For the lucky few some actually make it back to it.
