You're the only one to mention anything about computers. There are other engineering advantages to newer cars amd trucks than engines.

Does anyone have a 50's car with a Pertronix or other electronic ignition? How about disc brakes (I know disc brakes aren't new technology), Mustang II front end? Alternators?
You think electronic ignitions and disc brakes will still be around in 60 yrs...if nothing better comes along?

I guess those people who put in Camaro clips or S10 frame swaps are real nincompoops for not keeping their stock marvels of engineering suspensions huh?
