Flared Holes ,the easy way !

I did this last week but used a sheet metal cutter which is way quicker than a holesaw and gives a cleaner edge.






This is the sheet metal cutter, Its called a Q-Max cutter, They are cheap

 

Great stuff , my bro use's one of those for putting the hole in S/S sink inserts , how did you flare them ? nice job.

 

I used a offcut of aluminium and made a dimple die.

 

Wow , thats real neat ! when I get my lathe sorted , I will give that a go , nice tidy job !

you can buy them, just punch dimple die in google, I'm in the UK so would be expensive.

Check out the tool Willy made ,and flared the holes in his COE.........
