Atta boy Scotty, you hang with your convictions, my friend, I would love to take a ride in it when it's finished. You do know the torque is going to pluck your head off, don't you. Woo hoo. Did you get the things you needed that we talked about a couple days ago?

    Thanks Dick!

I did get them, and I'm slapping those carbs together today. Thanks again!

Anyone looking for anything carb related, check out Dicks stuff...awesome.

  4. Those 4 jet carbs are bringing a lot of $ on Ebay, I got one(rebuilder) for $35, the rest(ready to run) were hundreds of dollars.

I took one of them from my 62 wildcat project, and got the other for 19 bucks on epay.

Just a quick update.....as I said in an earlier post, I was pretty sick. I'm feeling good enough to try and get some work done finally, and should have some updates tonight.

    Being sick=not good for efficiency.

We had a real well know racer here in VA run a nailhead in a Ford Thunderbird. He worked for a local Buick dealership. I guess that is whay he did it. So its been done before so I would say there in nothing unusual about it. Cool car. I love it!

Yes.....I have been spending 12+ hour days at the shop banging on this thing as much as I can in between customer jobs (gotta pay the bills ya know)

As I said before, I have had a few friends stopping by to lend a hand... Aaron, Greg, Jake, and the two Casey's. Casey Hudson has been a HUGE help....spending some long days banging on this thing with me. Thanks homie.

    Heres some updates.......

    Got The motor plate finished...

Rochester 4 Jets all rebuilt/re-jetted and purdy. casey Did a great job on them.

    Tank and brackets mounted......

fastener tabs for the fenders mounted.....

1963 Grille (it's all I could find!) and lights mounted. The lights are some weird red colored GE sealed beams that were on a fire truck. I think it adds a nice 60's touch. Looks evil too.

Bent some headers up on the bender.....these will poke directly down between the frame rails....nice and subtle...you barely see them hahaha.

Put the wifey to work cleaning the Switch Pitch 400 off. I love my wife.

Not sure If I'll have any more updates til VLV....I'm too tired to think about posting this stuff when I get home......zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

    See ya in Vegas!

Loos incredible. I think the lights are one of the coolest touches this far man!!! Your wife is rad!

  24. Have a safe trip Scotty, call me if you need anything en-route, we are leaving early Thursday

  25. I love the evil eyes...

That thing is going to be an ear splitter, and those headers will make sweeping the driveway much more fun!

Nice work on refurbishing the 4GC Rochesters. I
like the 'tres cool' "rouge" firetruck headlights
too.....and the even cooler headers! Nice work!
With a blower you don't need collectors!!! When
you get it done and fire it up and go for your
first ride, it's gonna' scare you.... badly :)eek:)
    ......you do know that, don't you???!!! :D :D :D

Hahaha.....yes, she rules....here you go...these were for a Smokin Shutdown feature:
Chuckles Garage Photobucket 41 Chevy Shoot

I was in my storage yesterday, and I tripped over them looking for the Falcon's tail lights. I guess it was meant to be. I hope they still work!

I am sure I will need some type of post traumatic counseling after I do drive it. hahaha

    Thanks homie!
Julie was pretty much a superhero cleaning that thing for me, it must have been coated in 2 inches of goo. I'm definitely blessed that it is getting alot of positive attention, lets hope the Strange Bird brings some more business in! Get your skate/family stuff handled and come bang on your 27! I miss ya here, and all your ruthless slavedriving hahah!

    Ok.....breaks over....BACK TO WORK!!
