What will i have to do, turn this into a challenge, H.A.M.B.ers are supposed to be the "Holy Grail" of hot rodding, check out my earlier post looking for information on a very unique Model A pickup, i've had two replies, one solicitor, and a dido to the solicitor!!! Lets get the "Buzz" going on this, 2012 is coming and i want to find out who built this thing before it all ends!!!

  2. First of very nice and unique pickup!
Secondly because someone admires your pickup or compliments you on
it does not make them a solicitor unless you have a different defination
    of (solicitor) than the dictionary.
Thirdly what defination of dido do you mean?
Fourthly why do you have such an intence interest in the builder?
Fifthly there is no "Holy Grail" but good luck in your quests and
    welcome to THE H.A.M.B.:D
    Buffalo Bill.

  3. nice intro...........i am ***uming Ryan has done away with THE HAMB GUIDELINES.......

You wouldn't by any chance be trying to threaten us would you. Sure sounds demanding for someone who just walked in the door. Sit down, cool off, learn how this place operates .........................then ask a question. Your at the most knowlegable, friendly, helpful, site you could imagine. Treat it with some respect and fit in ...................or get your *** handed to you.

Do an intro Tom. As far as I can tell, even though nobody knew anything about the origin of your truck, you had three nice replies, in spite of not having done an introduction. There's a place to do that, at the top portion of the hamb page. A solicitor is someone who tries to sell you something...nobody did that. As Topolino Kid said, you don't have to start another thread...if it doesn't get replied to, a thread will get pushed down, and to later pages quickly. But every time someone posts a reply, your thread will be "bumped" back to the top of the first page. You can do this too, by replying to your own thread...say something with at least three letters..."Anybody" or "Some help please" or simply "bttt". (Back to the top) You could type "dog", and it will bump it. As far as how "good" the hamb and its people are, you're looking at the absolute very best...hands down. No "challange" is needed. Many folks here are extremely knowlegeable, and by our sheer numbers, there's usually someone who can help. I've seen some incredibly amazing things happen here...you just have to give it a chance. Tracking down the origins of an old hot rod can be next to impossible though, unless it was well-known. Do an intro, and go back and bump your original thread. A really good way to bump your thread, is to respond with a thankyou to show gra***ude to those who have responded, even if they simply complimented your ride. Your truck is cool. Neat that you installed a Hemi. Welcome to the hamb, and good luck with finding the builder. - Rick

Yes. The picture of the finished truck works as usual, but any of the others gives me a prompt to OK the use of my system to show the pic. Tried it, and it still doesn't show the picture. I hope it's not a "problem".

The pictures are working as normal now.

  12. Yep...that's what it did to me. I didn't give it the OK. I learned an expensive lesson that way and didn't have my computer working for 3 months.

Not to mention the HAMB withdrawalls!

hahahahahahahahaha. just spit mountain dew on my keyboard.
i don't know the truck but looking at the build style i would guess it was built (or at least rebuilt) within' the last decade or so. if you're looking for the original owner, you may want to trace it through the DMV.
