Hot Rods CROSS COUNTRY: I'm Planning a LONG Cruise to the Northwest and BONNEVILLE...WANNA GO?

AWESOME! What day are you guys heading to Hotrod-A Rama? I'd like to split a room with you guys if possible. Then I'd love to cruise back to Spokane with you guys after the show.

 

That's the million dollar question. I'm thinking I'll just bungie a duffel bag on top of the tank when I'm on the road by myself. I mean, motorcycle riders take long road trips with minimal storage. If I'm on the road with others, hopefully I can throw my junk in their trunk.

I'll be packing light and visiting the laundromat several times.

 

Trip sounds great. We're in Ashland, OR on "the 5" if you need a pit stop, couch whatever...

Jangleguy comes to mind as the perfect co-pilot.

Throw extra clothes in a garbage bag and use the shop vac to "vacuum pack" everything. Man, you'll be surprised how much you can fit in a small duffle bag! Now, don't expect to win over any chicks with your wrinkled rags, but, well, at least your priorities are straight!

We usually leave Spokane in the early morning on Friday and are in Tacoma by mid afternoon. If you can't find transportation from the airport to where the Legion Special is stored. I'm sure one of us will take care you. We'll count you in for splitting hotel rooms that weekend. Usually we get a three of four rooms and split them between everyone. You can even choose the Emperor who you want to "cuddle" with for the weekend, if you like.

We'd love to have you cruise back with us, across the state. Besides, you never know what's going to happen on a road trip with the Emperors. Between everyone in we know with a garage in the Inland Empire, storing the Legion Special wont be a problem. Also if we made it back to Spokane early enough. You would have enough time to catch one of the late afternoon or evening flights from Spokane to Oakland on Sunday night.

Kirk, I applaud the whole idea of a road trip. If the dates were a little different, I'd be there to join you on some of it. Thanx for posting the offer.
I did the first 10 Americruises. The "lone wolf" deal is one thing, but roving with a pack is quite another. I hope you get a good bunch to roll with you. Good luck!
