    From the VLV website:
"When you arrive at VLV it will be scanned and you will get your wristband."

 QUESTION: Where is the ticket scanned? Do we just drive our pre-registered cars straight to the car show, or do we have to park outside the hotel and check in somewhere inside?

    Thanks,

Hi, you will drive directly to the car show gate entrance where we will check you in. If you have purchased a "car show only" ticket you will receive that at the gate. If you bought a full VLV weekend ticket ( to see bands perform inside) you will receive that inside the Hotel/Casino. Thanks very much, Axle

How come the spectator tickets to the car show are so steep? You guys are charging more than double what it cost for the GNRS.

  8. I think its cheap!! If it was up to me you would have to buy the weekend pass to get in like it used to be.Maybe then it wouldn't be so crowded. If people are going to bitch let it go back to the old way(Hint,Hint)

I will be in attendance, arriving Thursday via aeroplane, as I cannot operate an automobile. I'm certainly lookin forward to some delicious In-N-Out, the Pinball Hall of Fame (seriously, it's freakin awesome), and the Shifters' fine car show in the lovely springtime desert sun (among other things).

Funny thing is, I looked at the weather forecast for LV on the internets, and it looks like it may be slightly warmer and sunnier here in the filthy city of Chicago, while I'm away. After 8 months of brutal winter. Funny how that works.

Anyhow (TL;DR), this lurker looks forward to seeing y'all there.

I had gotten an e-mail from the MGM saying she was in town for the week doing her famous bathtub show and I was wondering if she would make it across town to make an appearance. Glad to hear she is!! One more day of work, then drive to Atlanta to meet friends and hop on a place. See you guys soon!

We're flying out from San Antonio on Thursday morning and staying at the Orleans. This will be our 2nd trip to VLV, we went a couple years ago and had a great time. This year is a much better line-up of bands, and looks like the car show is going to be top notch. See ya'll there.

Not looking forward to the 11 hour flight to LA tomorrow.

But hope to hear and see some of you guys on open pipes passing me through the Dessert as we drive over in our Hire car Thursday morning.
Thinking of stopping off at Victorville Route 66 museum on the way to break the trip up is it worth it?
Glad Dita is performing at the car show, my Wife to be was talking about going to her show while we are there but it is around 80 bucks on its own.

My brother and I are flying out of Florida tomorrow, catching a flight in Atlanta around 9:30 or so, then on to Las Vegas. I HATE flying, but have wanted to do this show for about 5 years now. The band line up looks great, the car show should rock, vendors in droves, etc. etc.

Now if I could just con someone into driving my brother and I around the strip a bit with a period car - everything would be perfect. I'll pay for gas! :D

Now they are calling for rain on Thursday when I am leaving. My wipers do not work. Anyone use Rain X ?? How good does it work? All these years and I have never used it.
I have been planning on taking my car for a year now and will be pissed if I can't drive it there. I'll have a good time regardless but would be nice to have my car in the show.

We've used it for years and it works pretty good. Good thing about the Las Vegas area - a storm could come around and pour for a half hour then everything just seems to stop , the winds blow everything away, its partly cloudy, then an hour later - blue skies. Bring your car !

F**K it....I'm bringing it. I'll buy a 55 gal drum of Rain X, put my wife on the hood to keep wiping the windshied off while I am driving and call it good. I can clean the car up when I get there.
