Groucho, radial Pirellis sure as hell did exsist in the 60's! I ran these 145's in '64.

the only thing i said was i cant feature an open wheel car in the magazine with radial tires. you can run that thing at dragfest with 20's and low pros if you want:D

  5. i love you guys for sticking to your rules on the mag. another reason why its the best out there to me. are you still going to run your bike?

  8. Hey Russ, yup, thats Gary's ride. He was doing the bodywork last time I saw him, i think he's going to get it painted before dragfest. Maybe metalflake blue...

    It will be cool.

Look for me in the swap meet area.

Hide the wimmin an' children! I just spoke to Gary Read and the fearsome 15 ounce fuel coupe is ready to terrorize the Famoso strip. These dudes really tip the can, so don't miss it.

I'll be there of course, ridin' my HAMBster.
Wouldn't do to miss the race that got us going now, would it? :D

  12. I will be there spectating. I am like Zombie, my unfinished car from last year is still unfinished.

  13. I'll finish it for me.....er....uh.....you;):p:D

  14. I would sell it to you Groucho if I thought you would keep it for more than a few weeks!........................Just kidding!

  15. I would...NOT KIDDING. Hell, hang on to the ***le;). Come and look at my Model A @ Beatnik Blowout. It's got many touches that I'm sure you'd appreciate

  16. Are you just cackling or what? I wanted to bring my AA/Fueler but the guy told me they will not be running them. Now, I see on their own site, they DO show Top Fuel. ?????

Wanted to go last year but, they had a booked in show so I would not have been able to even qualify.

Maybe you just got a special invite because they told me no.

As far as I know the car will be making laps. It's not a damm cacklefest car!!! I'm just a crew guy, so I'm not sure what the deal was.

  19. I wont be going this year, I try every year, and it was looking good, however last race of the season last year the engine finally cratered. And the new engine took all the dragfest budget.
On the plus side though, this thing should be running mid 8's this year!

  20. I'd like to be there but if I'm right I will probably be doing the finishing touches on my car for Eagle Field. Not much time till then and still a lot to do, but you never know.

hey steve, we will not be having the top fuel "show" this year. we would love to have some cars like yours, however there is not enough for a cl*** yet. until the cl*** fills up, they will be exhibition p***es only. appearently we have 3 other cars showing up. we only need 6 for a cl***.

well, i just got off the phone with randy, and it looks like there will be another top fuel show this year. i guess for some of these guys its more about having a good time at the drags rather than make'n a buck. anyhow, there will still be a separate cl*** for the "nostalgia" top fuel rails if we can get 6.

anytime there is fuel it's a blast!

  24. Interesting. Why look for 6 cars? what do you do with 6 cars? You would need 8 to go 3 rounds right? Curious what and how you would set up 6 cars. With 6, if they are an 'all run' deal, how would you pair them up?

I have my match race in just over a week. If I don't hurt anything, I would be interested in coming now that I have just renewed my clutch can, ch***is, diaper, etc, etc.

What rules are you running under if any? Provide me more info. We love running at the patch.

hey steve, randy said if we get 6 cars, we will break it up into 1/3rds to make it work. as far as the rules, there isnt much. single mag, 671 blower, etc. if we can get enough cars for a cl***, we will start honing the rules. obviously, we want this cl*** to stay pretty traditional.

  26. I will raise my hand and say yes I will be there. Zombie I need info as to what safety ****pola I need to make a super slow *** p*** in my banger powered model A against Model A Dave. He challenged me about a year ago to race him and I need to make whatever changes to my car needed to run. Thank you sir.-Weeks
