I think that these all fit here.

  6. Isn't tri-five a Chevy term like Deuce only refers to a 32 Ford?

Usually, but semantics play a part here  ...you'll notice he didn't capitalize "Tri-Five" when he posted it...therefore, he was simply using the term as a way of saying he wanted to see those three particular years...certain labels aren't confined to only one thing... :D

yep and a lot of it has to do with the 55,56,57 Chevy being a line that was not changed that much. Where the 56 then 57 Buicks are totally different. Same with the Olds...

The term "Tri-Five" came into use to describe the 5,6, & 7 Chevrolets much like the term "Duece" is used to describe the 32 Ford.

I'm not up to speed on my Fords, but I'm sure it's a tri-5. Sitting and rotting btw.

Here's mine. I often lump the 55-57 Fords together. Usually anything with single headlights. 58 and on is a different animal in my mind

There's always a beginning to a thread...and in all cases, the thread starts at # 1...and had you read from that point, you would have found that particular sentiment had already been covered...

  28. thanks for posting the pics guys

and for those of you overly ANALlitical types i do know the term tri-five usually mean's a chevy BUT, as someone posted i just used that term to say mid 50's cars instead of saying 55, 56, 57

i just wanted to try to start a cool thread about something that hasnt been done to death

i thought this was a car site with car guys/girls viewing it

not a kulture site with a bunch of bitchly little school girls with thier panties in a bunch viewing it

and by the way i DID do a search before posting the original request
