Very cool, any plans for a model of Hayden Proffitt's, Dyno Don's or Ed Schartman's '65 Comet?

    Verne,
Are you referring to the picture of the red DH '66 Nova? I'm pretty sure that that's replica, not a shot of the original.

Manassas was a short track in the sixties. After that I don't know but I think that it was never lengthened.

Nice work. I'm sure that the original stick cars like Spx & Martin, Leal, Strickler had the Dana rears in them from the start.

Right now we are only doing the '65 Plymouth hartops. It is quite the expense for all the new parts/molds needed to do these, so it's all we can stick our neck out for right now. We do hope to do additional AWB cars, but truly need to sell through at least 75% of these first. With the economy we have our fingers crossed, and hope many will help spread the word.

Easy now, although I myself am pretty excited to see the first race day painted samples in 30 days or so. Then I check for tears.

These are all stick cars, so yes, that very well may be true. Like I said before, we have conflicting research even talking to drivers on some of the items/features of these cars.

    Nice DH Nova too...

For the 1:18 AWB cars we are only doing the '65 Plymouth hardtops right now. As I mentioned earlier, it's a heck of an expense out of our pockets to do these. If we sell through at least 75% of the cars we currently are offering, then (and only then) will we look into doing any additional cars. Yes we'd like to do the Dodges - but first have to sell many more Plymouths. If you don't mind helping to spread the word, please do so to buddies, car friends, car clubs, etc'.

One more photo of the "sample" in 1:18 scale...

Notice the tail lamp lens are clear on this sample, as are the Satillite rear body trim pieces. Just the Lee Smith car was decorated as a Satillite, and the rest as Belvedere's. We doing our best to replicate them well.

Ordering that many I must hand out a big THANK YOU. I must admit I'm kind of excited to see the actual race day painted samples soon. Will post photo's of them as soon as we can.

#2049--that's an interesting pic of Sox' Comet. By late spring the Comets had switched to the dual scoop hoods and blocked off the headlight openings--but here is Sox in August with the early bubble hood and open headlight induction!!
