    Yep.

  2. Yeah, it does seem unusual.
I guess that's one of the reasons I did this, other than getting a smokin' deal on an aluminum radiator for it...

Is that one of the alum. radiators off of ebay?

Doesn't matter if I go brass or alum. I'll have to sink another inlet/outlet if I keep the flathead in mine.

Hey man, I dig the Pabst light hangin in your garage!! JOKER JASON.

  5. Well, sorta.
I got it off ebay, yes. It was meant for a T Bucket, and had the mounting tabs a lot higher up, and the PO had them slicked off, and re-welded lower so he could run a stock radiator shell.
The ebay ad said it had no problem cooling a 4-71 blown SBC (sure, thats what they all say)
but after running it, I believe them. With my little V-6 engine, it's all I can do to get it up to temp, even with a 180 degree thermostat in it.
All in all, with shipping out here to Timbuktu, I have right at 150 bucks in it....

i got mine off of a guy on ebay as well, i shopped around and the guy's listings had some good info in it pertaining to 2 row vs 3 row as well as cutaways of the tubes and the trans oil cooler in the bottom. I emailed back and forth with him a few times and he built it custom with the additional inlet/outlet for about $150 shipped. Buuut, I gave him bad dims for the in/outs :D Going to have a friend fix it for me

Can you PM the guys info if you still have it? I need a rad. for my T pickup. I want to rin the stock shell and the ones i have found are between 250-450 :(

  13. Dchaz, I'm sorry, but that was over 4 years ago for me, and I have no idea who it was... I searched in my e**y files, to see if I still had it, but sometime ago I had a hard drive crash on my computer, and couldn't retrieve all the info... hopefully wheelbilly will be able to help...

Glad you like it Pete! I had good intentions for it but with my coupe, I just had no time for it. I like the sound of your plan, I'm watching.

Lemme get a good start on it and I'll add more. Gonna patch up the body first and then build a bad ass low-down frame for it.

Pete, You got that thing done yet? You've had what...a week or so? If not it's obvious that Frankie and Ruby must be slowing you down. How about I meet you in Birch Run and I'll take them off your hands for a couple of months. When you get the car running I'll bring them back. Deal?

Been makin the Shoebox more roadworthy....seatbelts, glass, mirrors and whatnot. The T will get some attention soon.

  28. Please don't leave me hanging- I'm enjoying watching your build, for obvious reasons.
    I know the 4.3 V6 isn't "traditional", but it's what I could find, at a price I could afford.

  29. Now this is going to be boss. Good luck with the build and keep us posted.
