I know it's ot but I had to vent!!!!Thanks for listening, I guess I'm gonna have to put up security camera's in front of my cul-de-sac house.@$%#^^%%$^^!!!!!!!!!:mad::mad:

I know how you feel. Had 3K in old coins stolen from my antique business. No insurance would cover it. Just out a bunch of money.

Signs of a break in? Call the cops, file a report. Not much help of course but if the thief is a neighbor it'll make him sweat a bit.

the thing that sux the most is law enforcement most of the time dosn't do much investigating. and insurance companies don't want to fork out the dough. lame. hope you find the S.O.B., I think there would be a lot of us hambers that would be will to provide an ass kicking.

My experience is that when this happens it's usually someone close by or their 'friends'
But worst of all you're on your own with property crimes these days and if caught the slime is usually outta jail before you've recovered from your loss.
    Hang in there compadre.

I'm feelin' for you man. Its not fun to loose all your tools, I had 1.5K in tools stolen once. I got it back on insurance luckily, they were not going to pay as all the tools went from a locked room on a Army base, in a secure area!!
    How the fuck do you get a 5ft tall FULL tool kit out of;
    A. The Barracks block?
    B. Out of the secure, pass only area?
    C. Through the manned front gate?
All without being seen by ANYONE???
    Can you say inside job?

Hope you get your tools back or insurance coughs up for them, the thieves will get their own one day.
    Doc.

My thoughts exactly!!! Still waiting for them to show but at least an appearance will make them sweat. I'm also gonna go door to door and let all my neighbors know that there is a thief around here and that the cops have come out and fingerprinted (even if they don't);)

There are 2 sayings that keep popping into my head "don't $hit where you eat" and "you don't mess with a man's livelyhood" them stealing my work tools is in direct relationship to me providing for my family which brings up another saying "f*ck with my kids and I'll kill you" Ahhhh I feel better now, thanks for the thoughts guy's and I know that whoever did this will get there's one day. f*cking theives!!!!!!

I had my top box stolen when I was moving once, filed a police report and claimed it on my home owners ins. Just make sure you say that they are personal tools, not used for work.

Good idea man! I had a Makita lithium set but that was about the only thing with a serial number. I'm gonna do that though. It's almost worse just knowing there's a thief around here than losing the tools. This place is home ya know!

Had that happen a few years back. The bastards got all my power tools after breaking into the tool box on my truck. Filed a police report but never heard anything. I feel for you and hope you can get your stuff back. Good Luck.

i can relate to this all to well .just had an employee disappear with over $3000 worth of tools . i only owed him a days pay so that wasn't the issue. i know his family but their no help reported it to the police but that's like pissing in the wind. for those of you who think all bosses are scumbags keep in mind that to take care of this guy when he was working for me i would pay him $20 an hour when he was working as a laborer digging a trench and would never argue his hours. then the m.f' er disappears with my tools and my livelyhood

Man I feel sorry for you!
I know I lost my WHOLE truck this last weekend!

  26. That sucks..

I didn't see you were in Palmdale till the above post. Cops WILL NOT DO SHIT...

Tell the neighbors what happened (they did it anyhow) and tell them the cops got prints and you got the perps on film. that will make them sweat..
You could say that if they know anything to get your stuff back you would pay a reward no questions asked.
That one has worked for me in the past. Paying $50 is better than replacing it all..and the idiots know that you know they did it. They won't try again.

Now you really need to watch out, those people know when you come and go, when your house is empty.

Check the pawn shops the one on Sierra by the metro station in Lancaster buys stolen shit.
    Craigslist too.

  27. Only the purest form of scumbag would steal another mans tools. Karma is a funny thing and in my experience, what goes around truly does come around. It just takes time. Sorry for your loss.

We had a huge tool theft problem here a while ago. Eventually, the cops found that it was a theft ring. When they made the bust, they found a house full, floor-to-ceiling with stolen tools, all being boxed up and shipped to Mexico. They said that it looked like Home Depot in there. The local crack-enthusiasts were employed to gather tools and bring them in.
