I'll comment..........not because of your prespective but the fact you should have paid better attention during ENGLISH class. The word AIN'T isn't the only negative in our language and when used incorrectly tends to delute the users message. Just saying..................Bro.:)

If you can do that and make it work you are probably a hell of a lot more hotrodder than the guys giving you crap. No it isn't traditonal by the "Bible of traditonal Hot Rods". But it is pure assed hot rod from the get go.

Personally I'd like it minus the blower and scoop buy it's not my car. I've got this thing about liking to make lots of miles down the highway in my rods and looking around that blower and scoop doesn't cut it. Ok for a fairground poser though. As long as you don't run over someone or their car because you can't see them through the blower.

It doesn't seem all that long ago, to me at least, that running a flat head Ford was considered a little strange. :)

The ignition system was pretty easy, BMW uses two distributors and two magnetic crank triggers. Its two separate inline6's running 30deg apart. So I had a machine shop index the distributors so I can set the advance and I used two MSD 6AL boxes with a retard controll and thats about it.

and yes I will definatly post a sound clip soon very very soon

LOL Funny you should say that! I was recently kicking around the idea of a 500 c.i. Cadillac setup out of an old El Dorado for an Isetta, but you got me beat!

Some people confuse "Traditional" with Cookie Cutter". Back in the day we did with what we had, there was no "right" or "wrong". Your car is just fine and I want to hear it run.:D
Incidentally, 350 sbc's are so common they're boring. A 327 is pretty cool, a 283 is way cool.

any (dare I say it) japanese powed cars out there? i think a datsun 240-280 motor would be great in a modafied

  26. Times have changed! 40 years ago 'only' having a 283 in your car made you a target for being called a wuss. Running an automatic (usually a Powerglide) was even worse!!!

It makes me laugh when someone disses another for not having the right engine in his/her ride.

To those so-called traditionalists: What would you call a guy who takes a street-registered Mustang II coupe, stuffs an Australian Ford Falcon 250 inch cross-flow (Willow) head six in it, adds a turbo and runs it on propane?

I'd call him Ak Miller! (He built such an animal 30 years ago...) I saw this crazy ride at the mechanic's who services my trucks when I owned a metal stampings business in SoCal.

2009, Guy is sitting in the parking lot at the local cruise night, stock looking BMW with the hood up, not much to look at, too much stock stuff. No one pays much attention to the car or the guy. A while goes by and guy and lady get into stock looking car and get ready to go. Approach drive way, signal to exit, REVS motor to sky... totaly boiled tires and quickly disappearing tail lights. I think everyone was thinking, what the heck was that guy running? I'll never pass that guy up if I see him again. I want to know what it is
