He has a problem and he needs OUR help to get on his feet. Quit bitching at him and help him get going again WITH insurance. His family has bills that must be met. Help with CASH. If his house had burned we should help. Well,he lost thru a poor choice. Give him a break instead of working on his pride. Those who are perfect should remember the only perfect thing in nature contains sphincter tissue.

I would never ask, and would never accept, help from anyone if I were in a situation like this. I live as a Conservative and believe in those values, ethics and the philosophy of personal responsibility.

I refuse to put responsibility for my actions onto the shoulders of ANYONE else. If I make a mistake, I pay for it. I'd consider it a point of shame to see others in a position to have to pay my way out of my problems.

As I said in my earlier post, I'm sorry about the fire, and I mean that. Fire is a horrible thing to have to endure, but...... Not at all sorry about any other aspect of this deal.
It would be different if we were talking about a sick child or something along those lines... But we're not. We're talking about the odds associated with gambling. It's called gambling for a reason; sometimes ya win, sometimes ya lose.

  3. I am unimpressed with this new kinder, gentler HAMB. Graham fucked up in not being properly insured. Sucks for him, I know, but he has created a perfect teaching opportunity. People who miss this lesson are to be pitied. Conduct business legally and honorably. Expect your name to be mentioned unkindly if not. If my was car in that shop, I'd be mighty pissed. And I'd expect it to be made right. If I was told that I needed to "Man Up", I'd sure show what that means to ME.

  4. Agree on both counts. Phil, it seems there are folks here that cry "meanie" everytime someone speaks the truth. I would rather not candycoat things instead speak my mind in ths PC world.

    I think is tech week?

Pray every night to relive this huge burden on you and your family. P.S. You clown's that feel Jason has no mercy coming his way, or kindness is fer sissy's can expect NONE when the wammy ball roll's over your pale white butt. Fook Uff!

Sorry for your loss, but I too am conservative and believe in accountability.

One of the social attributes of insurance is 'peace of mind.'

I have had proper insurance for all my endeavors for the last 50 years, and never lied on an application. It's foolhardy to do so when I know full-well that insurance companies employ top-notch investigators and lawyers. When you have a major claim
against you don't you expect the best legal representation from your insurer? Well,
that's what you'll get unless they find a reason not to, like a misreprensentation on your application.

    Here's the rub;
The shop guys that are running 'full-blown' businesses without insurance.................
are they charging less for goods and services because of that fact?
I doubt that is a consideration.

    I agree with this fella.

  10. What has happened is very sad and like some here, I feel for the guy.

But damned people, why all of the arguing here over a member who joined here in 2006, made a few posts in 2007, 2 posts in 2008 and no posts to the HAMB during the entire year of 2009.

There have been a few auctions on here to help the guy out. We can all be thankful there was no bodily injury to Jason, his family or anyone else. He still has a roof over his head.
With the talent he obviously has, he can go to work at any restoration or paint and body shop to put food on his table.
Everyone just stop beating up on the guy. He knows he's in a pickle with no easy way out. We should all learn from his misfortune and reassess our insurance coverages.
I truely believe this thread has run its course, the time has come to get back to what this site is all about. HOTRODS!!!!
