Here is another pic not very good but through the window in the background is uncle rodger's 51 HJ that he bought new It got wrecked very early

Yeah, when I was lookin at that pic I was thinking that every building up and down that street must have had an inch of mud and dirt on the floor to. wow.

 

That wet and mucky downtown scene must have been the day after "the Mighty Casey" had struck out......

Just a quick observation, in almost all of pictures from the30's,40's 50's & into the 60's, none of the kids are fat. they all look very healthy and mostly happy. Keep the pictures coming this is one of my favorite threads.

I have noticed that too. In MOST of the pix the kids and women are well dressed, and well groomed. Sure a far cry from what you see at Wally World today. Whew! What's the deal? Todays cars are smaller, but the people are bigger. Yesterdays cars were huge but the people were small. Hmmmm. Must be carbon emmisions.

This is Highway 101 just north of San Rafael in the SF Bay Area.

 

High fructose corn syrup. It's in almost everything we eat. Add that to a sedentary lifestyle and all the cheap fast-food you can eat and it's pretty easy to understand why obesity is the new American epidemic.
