Since you only gave us one REAL choice I'll have to go with no.1:rolleyes: I had the second combination on one of my cars for almost an hour before geting the 5 spokes off the rack. Oh, did I say I like no.1?

61, so, of course, I have seen the drag thing, Did I miss the part where an unchopped Model A, with louvered hood sides, full fenders and running boards and stock bumpers became a drag car?

Like I said, I really like your car. Like I said, I think the front wheels don't look right-to me. I'm 3000 miles away, but even if it were 3 feet it doesn't matter, it's your car so you get to build it your way. But, you asked for opinions-if you only want confirmation then don't ask for those who don't fully agree to comment. Getting personal in your replies is a bit childish for someone old enough to know the "drag" thing, don't you think?

  8. Looks WAY better with the slots, in my opinion!

I agree from the standpoint they match. I had to look twice to see that the fronts had the same slotted look. They are so small it dissapears.

#2, they fit the style of the car better, maybe some taller rubber on the front but not by much

  11. 1-you sure as Hell did! Look at post #29 for 1 example

2-You said something goofy, and I responded to it. It had nothing to do with your agreeing with my taste or not. But, to have not seen skinnys up front, or an unchopped fendered "A" drag car? Silly at best. And sillier to comment to the contrary, that's all. Make sense? You're the one taking it personal. I was gonna do what I did regardless. I was just curious what others had to say. We all try to share here.

    from nowhere...

I swear, again I would have predicted a wheel and tire combo to not work, and been wrong!
    option "B"....I like it!

the chrome slots look killer, to me...
Although I'm sure that the tires being what they are, too, in that pic, is helping to sway the whole thing.

HaHa. No offense, that's just what I always thought of chrome slots, never liked them. I love your car though, with the al. wheels. That thing looks great that way and it's not an overdone look on the A's.

  19. Those Astros were cheapies back then. But, now, you hardly ever see them. THAT I like

I couldn't tell you how many sets of those I've passed up over the years for next to nothing. I'm talking 20 years ago. I'm guessing a lot of them were thrown away when they were "out of style".Now I don't see many of them even at swap meets .

  21. That's the whole thing. They're all but extinct.

I LOVE the slots, even though I remember 'em as rusty-shit cheapies, they look killer with that stance, straight out of a '69 Rod & Custom mag. Billit? Really? I can't believe that was even brought up.

It doesnt matter which ones you choose because you will end up in the end using the 5 spokes. I remember when those Astro supreme steel dish wheels came out and the reason everybody quit using them. They constantly wollowed out the lugnut seats.Couldnt keep them on the car. Good luck !

I haven't seen those steel slots for 30 years, and for that reason I vote for them, I liked them until they got rusty, then not so much.

If I had to pick between the 2 I would go with the 5 spokes, but I have gone with '35 Ford wires for my A

Now with the slots are mounted, I'd like to change my vote.
With that stance these wheels do look better!
    That's a bad ass little A, Groucho.
