What did you use for connecting rod bolts ? Original or Ford 351 W with the edges shaved ?

    >>>>>,BTT: this deserves to be in one of the premere car mags ,,on the cover ,,,
Question; what cam did you use ?? what intake is that ??/ ,,we used a Howard in the Wayne Headed 302 we did back in '59-'60 ,,along with a Howard intake for the 5 Stromberg 97's ,,
all used parts from a Sprint car that switched to a SB Chevy ,,

I know this thread is old, but since somebody else dredged it up....

What do you consider the redline of your engine to be with the new pistons? I have a '55 302 out of a dumptruck waiting for my project and it was governed to 3250 RPM. Its a low mileage standard bore that has never been rebuilt so I was thinking of running it for a while before rebuilding it and I'm trying to chose my rearend gears.

    Nice Job, btw!

I'v never put a tach on it, but it sounds like 7000 Rpms and it dosn't stop pulling, I let off.

beautiful car! i saw it at Goodguys in Pleasanton ....

why does the painter always get the credit, the question should be who preped it? the painter spends a couple hrs in the booth but the body man spends weeks or months getting it ready. unless it was the same guy. LOL :p

This car should make people wonder why the ford bodies became the most popular. I hope it does make everybody that sees it know that they CAN build something different than the next guy. This car is truly amazing.
