That's the Purgatory dragster. His name is Rick Ackerman and he is on the HAMB.
He was with us in the Road Devils area.
I think he is gay though.

Just for Clarification; That was an inside joke!..... Sorry Rick... :D:eek::D

Bob, I saw you when I was walking out to get some gas for the Circle Track Roadster by the Dragster. I didn't even have time to stop you. Would have liked to have met you.
Did you get any shots of that Roadster by the Dragster next to the Lincoln?

Thanks a ton for posting these. A few other Denver cats and I are planning to caravan out next year, I'm already getting pumped for it. I don't think my baby will be quite in show condition by then but who knows. Thanks again mate.

Well I not a man to swear, but for those of you who did'nt go, you F-up! I had the time of my life, the show was so huge, I am still nursing my eyeballs, my feet and my liver. My shifter buddies spent 14 hour days weeding out the shit cars, the show was very organizied, and security was excelent. Saterday their must have been over 30,000 people and not a single fight in the car show or hotel. I had the time of my life, to hang out with my freinds and watch Chuck Berry was a dream come true. Last year was the first time I missed Viva cause I was broke, so this year I sold a car so I would have the coin to go, it was well worth it! This year was the first time I stayed Sunday to check out the pool party,It was a blast to see all the chicks in their vintage swim wear. I also got a chance to check out the bands and the burlesque show, it was awsome. Though I am a car guy, I feel that the music and the vintage clothing make the show so unique, it's like a time warp.all the car clubs where on their best behavior, and I got the chance to meet a lot of new clubs from Washington, colorado and New Mexico. Well hat's off to the Shifters for their best show ever

  11. Bob, There the ones that missed out, I told them The Bad Bob  and they STILL didn't get their arses there.
Oh well, thanks for the awesome coverage, maybe one day I will cruize Viva...............

    Doc.

Bo Huff's Ranchero is my new favorite kustom that is out of his stable.
That front end is out of this world Kool!! The '57 Desoto bumper is a
purrfect choice. I'd like to see it in person.

Thanks for posting the pics Bob one of these days we are going to have
    to head west....

    Happy Trails,

Hey thanks Bob -- Car ran great. I even had enough room for TBIRDs stuff when his car let go outside of Mojave.

And as for leopard pants.... him and dad there stopped and talked to us for a few minutes. I guess they came from New Hampshire. I wont dime anyone out but they really liked one of the cars we took down and spent a looooooong time lookin it over ha ha ha.

I know we had a kick ass time. Axle and all the SHIFTERs deserve a big congrats from anyone who attended. As a participant it was nice to see a show that organized. Thursday afternoon we pulled in and got our registration. The SHIFTERs had people at the gate acting as security and even lead us to some prime parking right by the stage. They made sure all our guys in the club got to park together and got a good spot.

    VLV13 Kicked ass....the parts I can remember.

    Keep 'em coming Bob!

That front end treatment on the Ranchero is bad ass. Coolest I've ever seen.

Cool to see a chopped Lincoln too.

Hard to believe the last one I went to was #8!

I'd like to send a HUGE Thanks to ALL of the Satan's Chauffeurs for "helping me out in my time of need".
If it wasn't for them being such a Great group,I might still be stuck in Mojave!
One of the San Jose members offered to go get my Tbird at Winfields for me too.

The one thing I was bummed about was not getting the Hard Luck award....
I even brought one of the "broken bits" from under the car to VLV...

The "Hard Luck" award went to a guy that had his door fly open at 70+mph.

The stop at Winfields shop on the way back yesterday was Amazing!!
I'm "sworn to secrecy" as to what we saw in the Paint Booth....
This is all I can show you.The sign on the Door...

and the roll up door to the Paint Booth

Dave(A32Flathead) and Steve from the Road Devils were my ride back home.
We were like Kids at Christmas walking around the back of the shop!
My camera's memory card was full,so one of them will have to post pics of our Adventure.

    This one's for you Drew.
    This was going through Tehachapi;

The long haired rock and roll leopard print pant guy looks like Keith Weesner in disguise, the fame must be getting to him.
