The Lonestar Roundup is a MUST attend on my schedule. No doubt about it. This year was no exception. The only question is when do we arrive and how long do we stay. Since both BrokenSpoke and Kisam and Tanya have been wating us to come visit we decided to arrive early, stay late, and fly in and out of Houston so we could spend more time with our pals AND visit their estates. In my suburban world they both live on estates.:D

Flew in Wed night and Bill AKA Broken Spoke picked us up at the airport and drove us back to his ranch.

He's got the cutest place chalk full of antiques...not the stuffy kind but the fun kind. This is the old iron bed in the guest room
    [IMG]

and a very cute hutch that was outside our room. I'm glad he left it in the natural state he found them as opposed to 'redoing" it.

Single fella take note.....even if you have no hair, or do not blow dry your hair, you should ALWAYS have a blowdryer available for ladies that might decide to stay the night. If you DON'T have one stop at Target on the way home tonight, pick one up for $20 and throw it under the sink. Ya just never know AND you certainly don't want to be asked for one in the morning and have to disappoint the girl.:D Oh yeah, pick up some of those small shampoos, conditioners, mouth wash, little soaps, and a small thing of tooth paste and tooth brushes. Put them all in a cute basket and watch them line up wanting to come for an overnight visit.:D:D
    [IMG]

I aksed Bill if he stole all his towels.:D (cuz they're all white)

Someday I want to go on a Denise-style roadtrip. Bonus points if I somehow end up on the same roadtrip as Denise.

At this point we decided to hop in the cars and start heading to Reggies BBQ. Kathy had brought us her late model Corvette for me and Megan to drive so we didn't have to rent a car. How sweet was that!!! She's a GREAT pal and I just love both her and Tanya!

We headed out and before too long we did a potty, antique, arty-treasure type stop.

They had all kinds of neat stuff made out of other stuff
    [IMG]

Uncle lee, RichardD and their posse caught up to us at this stop
    [IMG]

Once back in the car and on the highway Megan decides to do her nails. She wouldn't have tried this on Michigan roads thats for sure! :D
