    Not the first time........

  3. Come to think of it, one of the origional 48' Tuckers was gotten by a cop in a similar fashion.

As far as the impound goes imnutz is right, be vigilant!. Here in Chicago cars that wind up in the impound can be auctioned and leagally sold in just a month or two. You could have a million dollar car and have it towed because of parking tickets while your laid up in the hospital for a bit and the city can legally sell your car out from underneath you.

  4. Well, no, for that to work the plate would have to have a GPS system of some sort in it. Unfortunately he didn't have OnStar installed in this truck -

I'm kind of surprised at this theft, unless someone took it to strip of drivetrain stuff - AD Chevys aren't exactly rare, so the body parts wouldn't sell for much. Unless it was stolen to order for someone out of the country, but even then, they're not exactly rare, so why steal? Hopefuly you get lucky and find it was taken for a joyride and run out of gas and left without any real damage.

as sad as this may all be... our beloved HAMB is just a small microcosm of the world outside... the person or persons involved maybe on here seeing all the heat and attention and hopefully just abandon this truck somewhere... in hopes of hitting the better nature of their being just give up the fucking truck... JEEBUS CHRIST... cant someone just have something to hold on to thats theirs without someone trying to fuck with it!? atleast save yourself an ass whipping or worse... shit like this make me wanna be back in iraq atleast shit made sense to me there...

Fomoco, sorry about the name..i was too concentrated on the truck and the case!
    I apologize for that....
Also i take the chance to say such Chevys pickups are probably the most common cars down here togheter with 49/52 Chevy cars..literally 1000's of them...not exactly rare,so not worth it to throw it down here for the fuckers!
Hopefully it will show up soon somewhere in TX...Sled

    VooDooDaddy,
Any chance you would PM the flier or make it available to download as that is something several of us could post around in our local area ?

I'm in Oklahoma City and have put the work out but the flier would add some value to the effort !!

    Thanks in advance.

This happened to a friend of mine. He was waiting to hear from the police and they even had the plate number and a report. The vehicle was sitting in the impound yard the whole time. Only he found out about it after it was auctioned off. Sorry about your truck. I'll print the flyer and post it at our show. We are in Arizona, but it couldn't hurt

It was sugested to me to post an email tied to a paypal account for a reward/rebuild fund.Im thinking that if the truck is found the reward would be payed,if the person or persons did not want the reward i would use some to get the truck back to me and give the rest to Ryan and the HAMB.I really don't want to rebuild or try to replace it so lets find mine.So after a given amount of time if the truck is not found maybe we could take a poll and give the donated funds to a charity?

Yesterday here in Round Rock [Suburb of Austin] they busted some hispanic guys that were stealing F-250 Ford trucks. They stole one from the parking lot of Dell...someone saw two guys that looked suspisious and gave a great description.., the next day the same guys came back and detectives followed them to a house and lot in Bastrop Tx. They found a number of stolen trucks. Dont know if yours was in the group. May call the RR police department.

My very good friend is the chief of Police of Round Rock, I sent him a flier via e-mail yesterday morning, but he hasn't responded. I will call/text him, now that I see motor's post. Hopefully this will all work out...

Mike, Trammells, Tx (77045) is a small community in sw Houston. Missouri City is sw of there, Pearland is se, South Houston is e, Bellaire is nw. Here are some #'s to the local law enforcement agencies that might help.

    Harris County Sheriff's Dept 713 921-8890
    Houston Police Dept 713 884-3131
Missouri City Police Dept 281 403-8700
    Pearland Police Dept 281 652-1100
South Houston Police Dept 713 944-1910
    Bellaire Police Dept 713 668-0487

Best of luck! BTW, I googled O'Reilly's and put the zip in there and came up with several stores within 2-10 miles of 77045.
