I was young and kind of a nerd. But it's still bad ass to say my letter was published!

Can't say I've been in the mag but I loved me some CARtoons when I was a kid.
Very influential for a young CARguy.

    ...they published my letter.
As I recall, it was part of a series about riding wheelies on motorcycles.
In my case, a 1965 Honda Super 90.

I live about 10 minutes from Granby pl, lol

  22. Yea I was in there once. Must have been around 1970 or so.

Next day I came to the conclusion that CARtoons and Orange Sunshine don't mix. Had the same problem with White Owlsley and Yosemite Sam once.

That was one of my favorite mags of all time!!! I still have 12 or 14 copies of it in a air tight bag stowed in a safe place.

I had a couple drawings in there when I was 8-9 years old.

I find it odd that the "no subs" policy was good forever, then shortly after they started offering subscriptions it went away.

  26. of all the rags you could have written to..................nerd says it all(you said it)

  27. Yup, the magazines found on the top shelf!

And for the record, trosley is a HAMBer

I have a stash of OLD Cartoons and AutoBuff that I am holding back for my next HAMB auction ;)

George Trosley is a cool guy, he did a drawing of my car that hangs in my living room. My wife talked to him & sent him a bunch of pic's that he put the "Trosley" spin on. Looks like one of the cars out of the K&B 'toons.

Love the old Cartoons mags too.

I had a drawing published in the readers submissions in the 80's but have lost the issue and don't know which one it was. The drawing was of an old cabover tow truck .
