Looking forward to the "Stray Kat 500." Who else is going? Mick I have a cd for you! _____________________________________________________________ Like I told the kid, "Your music's not too loud, its just like OKC, it ****s!"
I'll be there, it will be my first show as a vendor! Selling my new hardcover photobook, soft cover books, calendars, prints... I'm stoked! This is my first SK500 but I caught the Fort Scott and Starliner shows last year and they were AWESOME. Ok time to get back to work on more stuff to sell Hope to see everyone there, if you see the Royboyproductions.com spot, stop by and say hi.
May 7-9th Dewey, OK more info at Stray Kat Kustoms website I haven't been yet but I can certainly proclaim from the rooftops how cool the other shows were that Mick put on last year and I have no doubt that this one will be great too.
hope I make it, got the car all dyno tuned , which consisted of 2 new decals on dash and mooneys decals between the gauges so it should be good to go. after that show helow body job, tired of the bondo cracks maybee you guys can break off a hunk of bondo on my hood for a spiffy souvineer !!! for sick??
Everyones going!!!!!!!! Anybody around the Wichita area thats going, we have a group leaving my house around 10:00 friday morning if you wanna join us!
Thanks guys for the kool response. We have a record number of pre-entries so we should have a heck of a turnout. Here is a run down on what is going to happen. Friday afternoon We will go on a Reliability Run to Woolaroc which is only 12 miles out of town. We had planned to do this last year and had to be cancel it because of rain. Woolaroc is Frank Phillips weekend home, to get an idea how kool it is check out their web site. www.woolaroc.org Friday evening We will have a cook out. We're roasting a whole hog and will be providing a free feed at our Favorite hangout out place. Travis (twotallokie) and Rod's shop. During the feed, Rod's Blues band will be keeping us entertained. Eating Barbque and listening to the Blues I can't wait. Its been a couple of years since the Rumblejetts and Julie Majors played, they were scheduled last year and we ran into some technical difficulties. (Rain) The band schedule; Julie will start us off around noon, and the Rumblejetts will playat 1:30 and to close the show one of the HAMB's favorite band Pushrod will perform. Very proud to say that we have such a kool lineup, thanks guys for sharing your talent with us. New this year we have a Barber that will be doing 50's style haircuts and the exciting new vendor is a kat that makes Kustom Tutu’s. Tutu's? I can’t wait to see that. Lot of kool Kustoms and Hot Rods will be making their début. One of the koolest roadster projects that I've seen is planning on being at the Stray Kat 500. If you like traditional Hot Rods your going to love it. We have a Kustom '56 Packard that has gone through a wild transformation. Kandy'd, Pearl'd, and flame'd paint, Chopped and White Wall'd up. If you love wild kustoms your going to love it. Also Dustin's chopped '49 Merc will be at the show. It will be parked in Two Tall Okie’s shop but your going to love checking out the body lines. This is our nineth year and it looks like it will be the first time that we will hit the 500 entry mark. If you hadn't been to the SK500 before here is what to expect. A Car show put on by real Hot Rod and Kustom club that have a p***ion for the "real" car guy. Sounds like you get ready for a road trip the same way that I do. When you get into town we can compare bondo cracks. Have a safe trip down. Looking forward to meeting ya. Travis's new book is way too kool and can't wait to check out what ya have to sell. If you have anymore questions just let me know.. Happy Trails, Mick
I guess I'm going to have to change my schedule to every other year it doesn't rain... Won't make it this year...my Caddy won't be done and can't fund a $500.00 weekend and try to finish the Caddy, and I want the Caddy done this spring...!!! Dan's Caddy is currently getting all new gl***...and that ain't cheap either...so this is the year to stay home, sadly. So, if you have rain this May, then I'll show up next May... R-
CD? Kool! Hate to hear that your going to miss out on the kool weather this year....Thanks for making the sacrifice so the Brothers can get their Caddys back on the road. Looking forward to seeing the new project shinny. Do you remember when you guys drove this from Colorado? Looks like a comfortable ride.... Happy Trails, Mick
Hahahahahaha...LOL...we didn't exactly "drive" that from ColoRODo...we picked it up in Mountain Home, Ark, to deliver to my silk screen guy here in Denver... It was a tad "crowded" in that thing...and Dan and I would have been at each other's throats after too long...I could never own something like that...guess that's why I own a big car -- I can stretch out my legs, crank up the tuneage, flip on the A/C and cruise comfortably at 75 mph all day long... R-
Mike's mug shot....Ha, ha, ha! B'ville police won't fall for the banana in the tail pipe. I was a little bit shocked to see ya guys drive up in a "C" cab. I'm happy that we caught the moment with a picture. It was kool Kodak moment. Thank Jimmy for the pic. Happy Trails, Mick
Mick, The cd is from the closing night at the Metro Diner. _________________________________________________________________________ Like I told the kid,"Your music's not too loud, its just like OKC, it ****s!"
