Great looking sedan. Is it actually going to have an ardun motor? Cause if it is then I am extremely jealous. :)

I worked on the steering tonight. Got the steering shaft attatched to the steering box, and I got a mock up link to connect the box to the steering arm, and it turns nice and easy. Just got to get a new steering are made, and make a drag link, and i'll have steering.

Wow man, that thing just looks like it hates everyone. Excellent job. I'm in SLC, I'll have to come down some day and check it out in person.

I worked today on the new section of floor in the rear. Now I have plenty of clearance for the rear end and it covers the rear model a cross-member.

Yes, that's the plan. It won't be original stuff, Don Ferguson parts.
    Your car is really nice.

that's awesome. I'm hoping someday to be able to build a rod with an ardun flathead. Kind of crazy to think of spending more on the engine than I'll have in my entire sedan when it's finished. :)

I know!! Not to the hijack your thread, but Don has helped me on building a set of Ardun heads for a 12 cylinder Lincoln I'm using in another project.

Nope, this baby gets the authentic stuff :)

Seats are all in now. Had to modify the rear wood in the bottom to clear the model a cover. Got at least 3/4" of an inch head room....plenty. Just will have to be a 5' 10" or smaller car.

I went and made a big blister to cover the cowl steering. The arm will exit out the bottom and it will be mounted from the inside.

    They are incredible comfortable!

I'm working on the pedals cause once their done then I can finish up the rest of the floor. Cause once the floor and firewall are done I can do body work on all the sheet metal, and get back on the frame.

Man blisters are sweet but for me it's killing the sleekness of the body. I would much rather see a regular steering box in that car to save it's lines. Just my $.02 though.

    The Car is awesome!

I agree it looks like a pretty girl with a big wart on her cheek. Maybe it is because it sticks so far out from the body like a big lump. Any way to do it with a sleeker blister?

The only reason I would mention it is the rest of the car is so sinister and slick that the giant blister really seems to take away from the look.

Well there were no option to tuck in the steering behind the sheet metal I think going with out the blister on the Schroder box would be better then the blister. It's just distracting from the awesomeness of that car!

I do agree with what you guys are saying. I did the big blister because I think that the pitman arm and the end of the box look way to modern. I was planing on shaping the pitman arm to represent an old ford arm so what you saw out of the blister looked old.

The only other think I could do is to basically copy the Rolling Bones cars and design the pitman arm to bolt on and use an old ford nut. Id have to thread an insert into the steering shaft that the nut could be screwed onto, then completly re-design the pitman arm.

Then if I do that I can make a small blister that the pitman arm is outside of. Might be the right direction to go.

Chris, it was great to meet you and your Dad when I stopped by your shop last week. You have an awesome build going with your Tudor and I can't wait to see it on the road later this summer. It looks even better seeing it up close and in person. Your metal working skills truly amazed me! Thanks for the great visit! :D Jerry

Might be a lot of work but in the end I think this would be the way to go. Right now the first thing that you see is that blister sticking out kind of like the proverbial sore thumb. In the pictures that vintage posted you barely notice the arm coming off the side of the car. With the blister it is like BLAM here I am.
