Work for free!

I always wanted to go to the US,but because all my money seems to roll down in a endless hole called "cars" i never get going.
So the problem is money as always.
Now if i do the trip i want to spent at least 4 weeks in the US and that is costy.
So i wonder if theres maby some club or "gearheads" who need help building cars and can provide some place for me to live as "payment".
I promise you Swedes are the greatest people on earth ha ha

Well i havent planned the trip just wanted to know if its possible.
It would be nice to travel around and meet nice car people.

 

Traveling around can get expensive too - try to find some people driving to car events, get a ride to the event with one and leave from the event to your next destination with another person. The old "Host a Traveling Swede" plan - it would need a lot of coordination but be lots of fun and save you much money.

 

Southern Wisconsin. Plenty of room and a great meal. No work required.

 

I have room in St. Louis and PLENTY for ya to do...LOL.

I am also just 3 hours from Oblong, IL. where metalmeet.com has their annual get together.

 

My son did what you are proposing in New Zealand. Did some work for Rocket Speed Equipment in Hamilton, stayed with different car guys. Had a great time.

That sounds like a good Idea to get him around the country to several events. Instead of packing along the traveling teddy bear to be handed off to the next rodder headed to another interesting event guys could pack John 79 along and hand him off to the next rodder to go on across the country.

I dont know when the trip will be but if i decide a date then it would be a goal to look forward to.
I will probably do the trip when its cold and dark winter here in Sweden.
It would be great to meet you all and hang around like a lame tourist ha ha.
And my english sucks too.
The coolest thing would be to buy some old car and just travel around the country.
I dont want to do the regular tourist stuff,im all aboute cars and thats what i wanna do.

if you buy an old car and travel across the country, you can sleep in the car in a Wal Mart parking lot... I believe that their policy is to call the store a few hours before and you can sleep in the car...and Wal Marts are EVERYWHERE
