Here is the second generation of my wagon. It was a big improvement for the 30 miles I had to drag it around.

Thanks guys. Speedfiend, yours is one of my favorites, as you can probably tell by my homage.

Thanks again. Love what's being built here.

Back in the 90's I worked at a landfill in Idaho and every old wagon I saw I threw it into my truck then sold them at old car swap meets for $10-$20 bucks each, somebody needs to save those old relics.
Oh Ya! I picked up anything that was chrome...anything!

I built this one for a Buddy's son. Basically just junk I cobbled together, but he loves it.

New guy here. Found the forums while searching for ideas on how to mod a wagon. Loving these wagons and I'm pretty fond of Jettback's design. Would a riding lawn mower provide a good steering assembly for this application? I'm guessing yes and looking locally for a cheap or free dead one. I'll post pics as work begins.

    Thanks for the site.

The black "Mooneyes" tub with the yellow padding looks like a Streak-O-lite....pretty hard to come by. I dig it as is, but I hope it was rough enough to justify the repaint....hell it's a coaster wagon, I'm just glad to see it got saved!

This thread just keeps going with more and more cool projects!

We finally got our radio flyer project out to a car show last month. It's still not painted and I need to work on a seat/cooler but our son loves riding around in it.

Added one more to the fleet. This one will be yard art. The tub has several small pinholes rusted through. I might pull it apart for parts as the need arises.

Here's a couple of mine. I was going to mod the Murray but it's just too original for me to hack up. I don't know what the rusty one is, bought it at a farm auction last month.

Here is my lastest acquisitions. Looks like the PO painted over the Western Flyer logo. Check out the cool rally wheels.

I also found a full set of spoke Playtime wheels with hubcaps!! Not sure what I am doing with either of these.

  25. The rusty wagon was built in Ontario Canada in a post war factory that stamped Jeep bodies and the matching trailers for the Canadian Army. My dad has had a very nice one for years. These wagons are very high quality, just look at the wheels alone.

Just thought I'd post an update...

Here are some more recent pics of the wagon, Still missing a steering wheel and windshield, but I'm working on those now. Target date is the Northwest Deuce Days in mid July. It's coming fast, so I am going to be busy.

I made the pic. and i am not wondering why there is an arm there on the bumper. I am wondering why that ugly mini van is doing on a car show.:)

I also picked up another wagon at a garage sale about two weeks ago. This makes it #3 "bathtub" wagons in my collection. I missed out on a 4th at the swap meet on Saturday (only $30).

This thread sucks, 3 days ago I had a wagon rotting away in the backyard, tonight after a stop at Lowes for just a few bolts ($74 later) and about 20 hrs so far I have this.

Need to finish the pull bar tomorrow, then I will test drive it at the HRR this weekend before final paint.
