Anyone who knows me knows I have major respect for traditional Rods and Kustoms. A friend and I started cutting up a 49 Cadillac Sedanette about a year ago on our spare time. The goal was just a really clean driver with nothing too fancy. Anyways a year later the car has been Chopped 5 inch's, Sectioned 4 inch's, suicide doors, reversed hood. and on and on. One thing just led to another.

I started out doing all the standard ch***is upgrades to original frame to get the car down in the weeds and have a decent ride. Somewhere in there it just clicked. I felt obligated to take this thing to the next level. So I sat down with a couple of engineers from Art Morrison and had a kustom frame built to spec.

Now the traditional side of me is feeling guilty and I came here to confess my sins to my fellow HAMB brotha's, But the Kustom side of me is jumping up and down like a little kid at Christmas time.

If I've sinned forgive me. I guess when the body goes back on you'll never notice anyways.:D

Leave off the Billet door handles, 20's in rims, Clown paint graphics, etc and the fit and finish will tell the story

I'm slowley warming up to the idea :D. Thanks for the offer though. I may have to hide it at your place for awhile as I haven't told the wife yet. Thats why it's in a storage unit. Oh the guilt runs deep.

I can try it out on my car first and let you know how badly you would be feeling if you used it. that way you wont have to tell your wife. its best to keep the wife happy

I think you can still be traditional with some modernization.
Think about the increased safety aspects and handling this will give on the car.
Overall I agree with Verbal Kint - leave off the billet and shiney stuff and it'll still be traditional on the outside.

Should look a little something like this but the valve covers will have the Cadillac script on them. I borrowed this picture from another post.

HaHaha! I knew that would get a response from ya! Kool thing about a kustom is there is really no need to pop the hood.
