I know there are alot of terms and I may not know what the correct definition is for these terms but from what I do know what do you guys consider yourselves or refer to yourselves as when talking to others? A motorhead?- someone who is into anything with a motor A car enthusiast- someone who loves cars and would ike to have them in their garage with a cover over them A hot rodder- one who builds traditional style cars which are souped up A R**rodder- one who builds quick cheap trendy cars A restorer-one who restores cars to original condition or a customizer- one who changes details on car to make them look better or any others that I have not mentioned What do you consider yourself?
I stick to the Rat rodder term.. even though my cars are well built with 4 corner disc brakes speedway front ends coarker tires etc.. i just want to attempt to change the definition in some peoples eyes.. I know my coupe isnt traditional and i have never met a nice street rodder so i never want to be one of those i dont restore and there isnt much traditional about it.. So if its too nice to be a rat rod i will just go with the term ZOMBIE RODDER.. in the since all my cars were dead and i put new parts into them and parts from other really nice cars to make this one hot car.. haha now it kind of reminds me of that movie weird science for some reason..
metal bangin, paint squirtin, pissy s.o.b. to answer your question, i would be a little bit customizer/ hot rodder, with some motorhead wound up in it. i don't like it if you can't drive it. i've never heard "wow, that car really fills out a cover!"
Just someone that likes to work on old cars,and my reward is "damn that's a nice car did you do it? " and my reply "yeah i did it"
A flawed poll because we have to accept your definition of the selections. Using your definitions I would have to say a motorhead and a hotrodder are the same thing, and should be combined. I are one.
My Dad, RIP, called me a "Fucking gearhead." So I guess that's what I am. I loved my Dad, and he taught me a lot about life and being a man. He just wasn't a HOT RODDER. I miss him terribly.
I'm a cheap bastard who will figure it out and customize it the way I want, then drive the shit out of it.
Multi-faceted, although I am a lifetime car nut it isn't the only thing I am or do. I've always felt that the most boring people to be around are those who only have one interest, hobby or whatever going on.

a normal guy...beer drinking, lady loving, gear banging (and a milf from time to time) gear head.......wheels or prop....uses gasoline and oil...I am there...
