    Jim,

    Welcome to the HAMB.

It is great to see three generations working together for a common cause. It looks like a great project but the memories that you guys will be making will be priceless compared to the car.

I wish all three of you the very best and I look forward to seeing updates on your project.

    Good luck,

    Thor

Congratulations! Enjoy the build, then enjoy the ride!
I wouldn't want to be around every Friday and Saturday nights when rock-paper-scissors decides who drives...could get ugly.

That is pretty cool that there are three generations. Hate to put it this way but if anything happens to any of you, the other two will always have the memories of this to help out. That is pretty cool. Wish you the best of luck and hope that it all works out for you!

Memories for all involved....Great job guys:D

  17. Totally agree. It's something I can never do with my own son, who passed on at the beginning of this year.

I have a 'grandson' from a long-term relationship who's become a real gearhead and I'm looking for a project car for us to build together. (I've been a grandfather to her grandkids since they were born, which has been a real blessing for me.) when I asked him if he was interested in doing a project - he does the work to learn some skills and I fund it and kick his backside when he's doing something wrong (just kidding) - he couldn't say 'yes' fast enough.

This is a great way to keep a family together and give your grandson a good grounding that will bode well for him in the future. Look forward to seeing the progress pics.

Thanks again guys. There should be some updates by the end of next week.

  25. Thats history that you can't write just enjoy the experience, nothing better than three generations connecting over a street rod. The youngest member of your team is lucky to have two good role models to gain knowledge from a shared experience.
    Take care , Rob.

    Just a small update.
I cut some parts for the front spring mount on our CNC plasma table.
They where cut from some 1/4" steel.
