Hahahahaha well said...I'm sitting at tip tops in Texas having pie and listening to the jingle of spurs as I contemplate my Pontiacs move from sunny Cali to Texas. Good times!

  2. seems theres a lot of immature people in this thread..

I started it to see what people thought and knew about the car...I know nothing about the old Pontiacs and to the d-bag that said I drive a subaru as my daily..I actually drive a Pontiac as a daily

anyways back on topic, what I got from this thread and the PM's I recieved was that the $800 was a killer deal for the car and it would easily sell for $1,500...being that the Bel Air I want is $1,500 I thought I would start the price there and see if I could get it

everyone crys and says dont cut up this car and all that stuff, so I offered it up for sale for someone who truley loves the Pontiacs and might want it like it is I'm not just going to give it away the fuel it took me to get there and back twice is $100 now were up to $900

I have no problem keeping the car, I like it..but like stated in the very first post I wanted a '54 Bel Air so if I can sell this and get what I really wanted than thats what I'll do

you guys are seriously telling me if you could sell a car and make a profit you wouldnt do it? every car I've built in the last 5 years I've sold and made a min. of $2,000 profit...gotta pay the bills some how

    a) German apple pie
    b) American apple pie
    c) French apple pie
    d) Douche apple pie

Arrowood I'm glad you decided to sell the Poncho to someone who will enjoy it for what it is. I won't fault you for wanting to make a few extra bucks.

jcmarz...well...not much I can say about you that hasn't been said but you really need to start taking some meds, sounds like you have a few screws loose...

Scoot, Brandi and all the others...thanks for the laughs, this thread has humor in spades.

I was afraid you were going to say that.

  6. I see nothing wrong with flipping it for a profit to buy what you want. Something's seriously wrong when it becomes a bad thing to make a profit.

As for the Ack guy, I stopped reading when he went to blue type, it hurts my eyes to look at it. I don't know what kind of lame dumbass makes a big deal out of the difference between two cars that are built using the same fucking body shells, anyhow. Next you'll be telling us how much better a Ford Taurus is over a Mercury Sable.

  7. thank you, I appreciate that atleast someone see's what I'm trying to say...I respect these old cars and I'd like to see someone enjoy it who is a die hard Poncho person, they really are beautiful cars like I've said before I love the trim & chrome on em but I've wanted a Belair for a long time now and dont want to get into this build and not be happy and end up giving up or something

    you backpedaling fucker.

we sat here and watched you buy the car...nay, guided you into buying it for $800 then just as quick as you get it home you turn around and try to pawn it off to us for almost double.

your a douche in every essence of the word

  9. I can see selling it for a profit, but a good idea would've been to delete this thread before attempting.

  10. this thread has become useless and needs to be closed I'm not a fan of stupid drama

yes I bought the car, I read everyones opinons and went and talked to the guy for hours and decided to get it, I got it home and listened to everyone saying dont cut up a Pontiac and dont change it and all that so I thought to myself that if people are really this serious about these Pontiacs maybe I should leave it as is and sell it to someone who really wants it and not try to change it to be like a Chevy in certain ways...I figured I'd just sell it and get the Chevy and everyone would be happy

I'm not going to sit here and argue with you online, I'm off to the shop to actually build a car..not sit online and act like a tough guy hiding behind a computer screen

  12. Eh, just stick it on eBay or someplace, most of the tire kickers there don't come here.

Just for the record, I think owning what a person REALLY wants is the most important thing and the bottom line to all of this. Nothing wrong with throwing it up for sale after you bought it if you still don't think it's right. Good for you for going after what you want and passing on what you don't want. Props!

The pot just gets stirred when people display and stand by ignorance.

If you really want the chevy, wait on a chevy. in the meantime you may be able to come up with a little more $$$ to get a nicer one when it comes along.

    Wow, what happened here!?!

If you want a chevy, save for the right chevy.. I think the poncho could be a wayy cool car, and I have a chopped bagged 54 chevy.

Jcmarz.. Your crackin me up man.. I hope your a handsome fella cuz fuck, you're stupid.. And your not the only guys here who's grampa played with cars way back when.

My sisters '51 "Chevy USA-1" is way cooler than yours.. Because it's not owned by an asshole.

Now this is some funny shit. I sure don't understand how a person that likes a 53/54 Chevy wouldn't like a same year Pontiac  Or Olds Buick Cadillac. I like them all .

As for saying get what you want...I agree ..to a point. I have bought several cars and learned to really like them.

  19. that has nothing to do with anything in this thread

I slipped to the end of this thread. I dig Futurama!!!! lol. Here's Buzz Bomb's car I've been working on for a couple years years now here and there. I put a 400 Ponti motor with a th400 trans combo in it, along with a 4 link, air ride, painted the roof, and were hoping to repaint car soon. Color change is in the works for bottom half of car!

Well if you check the classified he stole the chrome and sold the rear bumper .Definately not a Pontiac guy .Wants the chevy ....Some people will never learn .Pontiac owners know a pontiac is a chevy on steroids .And in a few years Pontiac is gonna be worth way more than chevies......

I'd buy that Pontiac, fix it the way you like it, then you have the choice to keep it, or sell it for your Chevy.....Who knows, you may like it better.

What's the big deal? He stepped up and bought the car, now it's his to do whatever he wants with it. If he stripped parts off of it and now wants to sell the remainder for a profit, so what. If he cuts up the thing up into a million pieces and buries them in the back yard, same deal. If someone steps up and pays his price, he made out. If not, it's his and he's "stuck" with it to do whatever he pleases.
