Ha! Not even close......not even a little. '36 Headlights on a custom....always.....but never on a Hot Rod (my own personal opinion). I'm running Wide 5's on my '35 as well since I'm not running a flathead. Spokes would have been cool here maybe with some Lyons Wheel covers. But I wouldn't change a thing!!! It that getting you excited for your '35 Zach??? Ummmm......I think it's the Fenders and Grille my good man.
I am very excited to work on mine... even have 99% of all the parts I need.... just a matter of space and time... luckily a motorcycle has kept me occupied lately... since, it fits in the garage I agree its the fenders & grille that make it look so good... those swoopy fenders and that upright grille.... my favorite ford design for sure!!
That dude is just incredible. Everything he puts out is awesome. Pretty close to here too! It'll get it's turn. I can't wait to see your progress once you get started. I know I am still a good bit away from driving my own but a little at a time and eventually I be driving it.
Need help from you guys with the 36's. I've got a glove box door that is suppose to be for a 36 ford. But I just can't figure out how it mounts to the dash. would one of you have a picture of the hinge for this application? Is the glove box the same for a coupe and a roadster? I need to figure out how to post pictures so I can show you what I have.
I need some help too... what the heck are you guys running for a seal at the front of the torque tube? Without ordering something somewhere far away? Anyone running something simple? I gots nothing on my tube and need to seal it up. Anyone?? Thanks fellers. and that '35 from Mill & Co is killer! and its kept a '35 Wowzers!! -Shiny
Shiny, where are you talking?? if you have the car real low(which i think you do??), the rearend oil can run forward down the torque tube and leak out at the back of the trans.... some places sell a cup that fits in the back of the torque tube to keep the oil where it belongs... you could make one if you saw a photo of it....
Zach, I was thinking about a seal at the front of the torquetube. Cork, or felt?? I've made the gaskets for the bell covers but wondered if there is a seal to put in too? I have flattened the rear x-member to get the car down in the back. So do I need to make one of these? It looks a little complicated with the step in the tube, is this nessesary? Have any of yous put your car together without this seal setup and its low? And your not marking your territory when you park your ride? Thanks guys, -Shiny
After I sold the burgundy one, it lasted some years and three owners but was eventually dismantled and lost to us. The blue one is still in great condition and doing the rounds of runs and shows. Here are a couple of shots of the blue 35 taken back in 1961/62 at the drags. Back then it was red in colour with a tri power flathead.
