Hats to you sir. I had both magazines at one point as well. The car was very cool to watch run.

 

The car was built by dragracer Scottie Scott around 1965 or 1966 powered by 427 BBC not a lot of success but interesting. WORLDS WILDEST CORVAIR TALKER

 

didn't he also run a Jeep funny car? I have a pit shot of the Corvair from mid 60's.

 

Does anybody know who the Surpise ll is? It was taken at York U.S. 30 in PA. on July of '69.

Does anyone have a picture from the early 70's of a 65-6 Mustang that used to run at OCIR called Lucky Six? Had a horseshoe on the door and seems like it ran 10's

OK, I give up............ I've been trying to do a search for a photo of Gary Ormsby (early photo of him getting out of an old front motor car). Thought I saw it in this thread but can't find it. Have a friend who went to school with him who would like a copy of the pic. I'm on the world's slowest ISP and can't pull up the "view all" version so it takes me about 5 min per page, well you get the idea. Could someone please re-post the photo (assuming this is where I saw it)
