My buddy bill re built 6 94's that will go on the coupe.... should have alot more up date pic's next week.
Today I got the trans mount done and started fitting the hood tops and sides..... also bolted carbs to manifolds I will only be running the 2 center carbs but it looks bad *** with 6
Are you going to have to make any bracket tweaks to get the generator inside the hood? My generator wouldnt clear a hood, but thinkin pretty seriously about putting a hood on soon.
Jim the car is looking real good. You have done that car justice. Saved another cool looking coupe from street rod purgatory.
From where it started to where it is today, just a couple weeks later, wow! Great vision of the final product, you have really nailed the look. Keep posting. chuck
As has been said , great ride Jim , the sit is perfect , gotta love them wide 5's .34 corner were a good body , can't wait to see her in person. Bad *** Coupe in the Making
Did you this for a gen hook up : http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showpost.php?p=4822194&postcount=32 I know it is just an alternator. I think I may have to go this route in order to avoid putting the Gen up high over the VC"s.
Thanks for the link! I like the engineering, the only problem is its logical and practical. Im stuck on this dumb generator thing for some stupid reason? I guess if Im puttin a hood on it, maybe I should get over that? I'll have to ponder that while Im saving for my over priced 33 hood! Thanks again!
I have been looking at the geometry for running the generator over the valve covers. From what I see with mine there is no way to run the belt without hitting the thermostat housing without changing the pulleys. Have you guys looked at that or not yet. That is why I am looking at the lower mounted generator or heaven forbid the alternator as shown in the link I posted.
I honestly haven't taken a serious look at it (too many projects), but it does seem that the lower mount would be the easier way to go.
I like it - A LOT! makes me want to start another project, maybe even a 'gl***' car.. You have captured the look, keep us posted, - Subscribed - .
