Thought the art crowd would enjoy this sneak preview. While I cannot take credit for this one...It needs to be shared. This is a painting that is 42" x 54" that the medium is One shot and airbrush on plywood titled "A Thing Called Woman" The painting was created by a fellow PUNK ROD member Paul Kester.
Luckily as a good friend of mine I was able to obtain it from him and it now hangs in my home. I LOVE HER!!!
It was such a hit with all of us in the club that we have made her our mascot for the 2010 GREASERAMA poster this year.
As the art curator for GREASERAMA I am always looking for great talent for this year's show in any medium-Paintings, photography, sculpture etc.
Feel free to contact me here or at FBCBIRDMAN@aol.com if you would like more details as to showing in our gallery for the month of September-Lily's Greasy Gallery.
The only requirement is that it be Hot Rod, monster or Kustom related theme.

Thanks and I hope you guys enjoy!!!

Yippee, I finally get to play again.

This is a toilet seat I sent down to Brizio's for their Shop Party / Open House raffle. 3 separate shootings of candy red over a metallic silver base for the Deuce (silver is traditional for a 25th Anniversary). It should be heading to a new home by the end of tomorrow.

These are a couple of things I've been working on for a while and just finished. The base idea was that they were old, salvaged signs from some long-gone, defunct business. Made from old freezer doors then weathered, rusted (real rust here folks), bullet-riddled and basically aged. They have 1x4 frames on the back made from old, worm-eaten fence boards (furthering the 'old' thing). The odd part is that John's has been done for close to 18 months while I tried to figure out how to get it to rust properly (I didn't want any 'faux' rusting) while I finished Roy's up just two months ago.

I've got to thank all of the fellow H.A.M.B.ers here at the F.A.S.T. for all of the tips on rusting metal in a 'dry' climate. Couldn't have pulled this off in the time frame I did without your advice. Tip 'o the hat guys!

    Roy's: 28 1/4"x58 1/2"

    John's: 25 1/4"x57 1/2"

The nice part was that neither Roy nor John knew these were coming. Suprise!

Here is my humble participation for this friday. Flakes and different candy hues were hard to get on pics.

Been diggin everything this week , ratster, nice uncertain T! I got to do something around that car someday. I got some inspiration from a thread Dynaflash_8 had on his 41 Nash. The first thing that popped in my head was a 55 Dodge style grille opening with 54 Chevy grille ends with a little grille bar still attached butted into the center . Maybe some 53-54 Merc grille teeth, some 48 Chevy bumpers and some frenched 54 Chev tailights sideways in the rear. Just hadn't thought too much about 41 Nashes before!:D Just a quick sketch.
