Bad news. The cat that people photoshopped in the pics(My Russian Blue that was in the pic with my '63 Caddy that I posted) passed away,or at least that's what we believed happened. Haven't seen her for a few weeks now,and she usually comes back every night to sleep inside. We think she walked off to die somewhere,as she was getting sick.

 

Sorry to hear about your cat. I'm sure she'll live on in these pages. In fact, I was just thinking about adding her in on a pic I'm working on. RIP kitty.

Thanks for the condolences. I would like to let you all in on how I got her. About 10 and a half years ago,my best friend was shot and killed right in front of me,and on the day of his funeral this cat showed up as a stray kitten that my brother had found. There were similarities that associated the two in my mind. My friend was El Salvadorian,but looked black, and he had green eyes. The cat was a Russian Blue,which is a dark coat of gray,almost blue when they are young and had green eyes,and she showed up on the day of his funeral. Here's the kicker,my best friends nickname was shadow because of his complexion and his habit of only being out and about at night. My brother was 7 at the time and didn't know about my friends nickname,but named the cat Shadow. So the connection just stuck in my head. She was a part of the family for the last 10 years.

 

Wow, that's a pretty powerful story. Always tough to lose a family member.

my condolences to you also hooligan63. i know it is hard to lose a friend like that. after the loss of a good gun dog, i got a card from a friend that reads "dogs leave footprints on your heart" it hangs on the fridge today. also owning a cat i believe the saying is true for both.
