You mean color, whats that? LOL

These photos doesn't do this car justic.

It was one of the most beautiful cars I ever seen & I seen just about all of them.

Got more but have no idea where they are out. Should have some burnout shots.

Plum............you inspired me to ask me buddy for his old photo's. I don't know how these will turn out. They have been in his photo album since the sixties and they are stuck to the page,so I had to scan the whole page of photos instead of one by one. Ill give it a try to see how they look.:D

Yes... that is the Ellison & McGarvey Opel. They also used to take the Opel body off and run a T body. The car would later be lengthened and become the first Boston Strangler F/C.

Just catching up with this great thread . I thought some of you might like to know what Ken Veney is up to these days . I just met him for the first time two weeks ago . He's been in the tractor pull scene for years , but now is building a '29 A rpu with a 'lil Dodge hemi . Can't wait to see it . What a cool guy! P.S. he gave me his e-mail address , I'll get some pics of his rpu and post them here .

Pick his brain and see if he will share the basics that lead to his dominance; What made his Vegas so dominant in 72-73

Haha , I'll work on that . That guy will talk for hours . I didn't want to leave but my ride was leaving . He seems very forthcoming , probably would be happy to share all the details .BTW, he still has the same haircut as in this picture , just a little whiter :D.

Adams and Enriquez and the depicted A&B car were from different eras. Adams and Enriquez came to the scene in 1968, I believe A&B were done by then. But yes, the West coast had an incredible jr fuel scene with a good 30-40 cars on the circuit; all within a few tenths of each other. Also, when A&B ran, I think they ran a bored/stroke 327, while a true ort-hodox jr fueler, as defined by So-Cal standards, were limited to 310"; basically punched out 283's, 327 w/283 crank, or in the case of Adams and Enriques, 305" Desoto

Thank you so much for all the pics. This Art Malone pics is the first time I've ever seen this car in color in paint!

I know Malone ran for Garlits and also ran some of his chassis. I doubt this is the only Garlits chassis Malone ever ran.

One thing I like about Garlits is that his friends go back with him many decades. I think these two went to High School together, even?
