    That's first thing I thought of when I saw this picture. The laid back things that what look to be major racing teams back in the day did to carry their cars to and from the track. But then maybe that is just the way they did back then. Shoot look at the number of us that drove cars to the track, raced them, then drove them home. Not much of that any more.

    Looks like a customer delivery going on rather than an on-the-way-to-the-race event.

    Really enjoy these photos of days past.

    Thanks to all that contributed.

    Damn, things just seemed alot "cooler" back then.

    Where has it all gone, steel mills, manufactoring, families, picnics, etc.

    As Jack Nicholson said in Easyrider "This used be a hell-of-a-country"

    Used to be is the key word.

  22. Hey;
    Model A. Kieth;
    How close do you live to this location?
    I had breakfast a few times in the restaurant that is located
    at the rear of the tour bus.
    Church of St. Edward visible behind stores.
    Post office just around corner!
    Bill.

    (quote) Please don't tell me that beautiful building is now this... what a shame.
    [IMG]

    From Google maps, the building is still there. The Standard station is long gone.

    A side note, that is the intersection in the Star Trek Movie where
    Kirk travels back in time to San Francisco.

  26. Thanks for that... didn't know where it was to Goggle.

    And speaking of Goggle and way OT (sorry about that), Goggle caught my Ugly Ass walking to my truck in front of my house...
