We are finally all set up and ready to go for the world's best traditional drag race held on August 21, 2010. After the mad house we had last year, we've made some changes. Tell all of your buddies (it would be totally rad if no one tried to punch me...

To read the rest of this blog entry from The Jalopy Journal, click here.
Time for me to start ramping up for the Alliance Auction at the HAMB drags too. All of the money raised goes to fellow HAMBers who have had a few hard knocks in the past year or so. Hoarders dig through your parts stash, vendors grab something off of the shelves, or artists sharpen those pencils or break out the one-shot to help out fellow hoodlums. More details to come.
I clicked on "buy now" and paid my $35.00, before I knew what I was doing. I guess when I get your e-mail, you'll want to know my cl***. I'm not sure at this time how many crew members I'll bring.
The online registration will not let you book the 19th thru the 22nd because the extra discount kicks it out for the 19th, if you call they will make the registration for you. if you book the 20th thru the 22nd it will let you do it online.
I just booked for the 19th,,,had to call though it would not work through the website which Ryan provided.
Does the nightly Holiday Inn rate include breakfast like it did last year? The Holiday Inn is telling me that they do not have the breakfast deal listed? Thanks.
I am going this year as a spectator due to not having my truck built yet . I have never raced at the HAMB drags yet but other than the year of what you are racing with , what are the other requirements of you can and can't have to race with ? Does the trans , engine or rear matter what you use ? Do those have to be a certain year also ? I not coming with a computer fuel inject with nitrous or anything like that but want to make sure I have the proper requirements to race . Retro Jim
There's a chance, albeit a slim one, that we'll drive the wife's daily down there to spectate for the very first time. I'm tired of having to experience the event through everyone's posts.
Ryan Probably won't make the trip this year. Got a couple of things going on here that are going to make funds and time a little short. But if I can make it I'll probably be a spectator. Major bummer I prefer parking in the pits; don't like to walk a mile to see friends and don't need any new ones.
so how can we find out if our car fits in or not? we were there last year and didnt have any complants... but I also heard some talk about some cars that should not have been let in just dont want to make the trip and get the boot... it is the blue 63 chevy II with the bullet holes for the ones who remember
Must pre-register with a photo of you car. Ryan will decide and registration paperwork will be sent to those that are accepted Aug 1st. No on site registration therefore you don't have to worry about making the trip and getting the boot unless of course you bring a different car then you registered.
