    Thanks.

I should have said any GASSER. I don't care where they're from but York does have a soft spot in my heart.

I like the blue Drag-on the best.

Now the 1st. Shoe car I say is purple but Shoe says he never had a purple car. I have other shots & when you see them I'll let you be the judge. I seen it & I like it & I say it was purple.

Of course the last shot is blue.

The red 40 Willys was shot at York US 30 in Oct 1961. Said on the back of the photo that it ran a blown olds and was owned by Willie Kaiser.

One of Woody Gilmores early cars. That's him in it at Vacaville. There's alot going on in the background too.

My all time favorite, Hank Vincent in "Top Bananna" a beautiful, fast car that was raced hard.

AWESOME photos!!!!!!!! The yellow Willys is Ray Koebel. There were a bunch of cars that ran out of Jack's shop. Jack was and still is a great builder of Chevy engines. Pretty much had at least one car in every gas class with Jack Merkel Automotive on them. My 41 sedan was one of them. It ran both C & D/Gas.

Yes I love these gasser shots. No we won't be making it to Bowling Green. My son has both baseball and Jr. Dragster racing that weekend. The kids come first.
