Fenders with Red Wires<>No fenders & Radirs

OK H.A.M.B. members which of the looks do you like the best?

Here is a pic with fenders, Wheel Vintique Wires and DiamondBack radials and full exhaust

 

There's something about the fenders that I'm not crazy about but I like the wires better on this car i think.

Both looks are awesome BUT which is going to ride and handle better over distances?

 

I think with the Radirs, it looks more authentic. With the WW/wires, it looks a bit confused historically. I'd keep the exhaust too.

 

i think you would have to change more of the car to make the wires look good. i like the radirs the way it's set up.

 

fenders for sure but NO RADIALS!!!!

 

Exactly what I was thinking. the Radirs go with the engine - to my blinkered vision, wires need a flathead V8 or banger (or closed hood). The fenders? Not sure, probably better without.

 

I think Radirs are lame. The wires are a definite upgrade.

The fenders don't improve the car, but they don't hurt anything either.

Radirs look like Hot Wheels wheels...

Radials do not belong on Hot Rod and I think it looks better with out the fenders.

 

Fenders with the wires...looks way the best to me!

I think you have some excellent photoshop skills! Back to your problem, I prefer the wires without the fenders.

 

Drive it in a rain storm...like I have in my open T-Bucket with no fenders...see how you like it without fenders then!!
After getting soaked and the interior filled with water....fenders went on mine. Still had them when I sold it.

I like both looks myself. The fenders are a result of the B.C. government wanting a full fendered car during the safety inspection which is a requirement to get registration.

 

Radirs, Way cooler! Though I think the closed exhaust will be better in the long run.

Opinions are like armpits, everyone has them , most of them stink!

Do what makes you happy!

i love the car both ways ....but i think fenderless with the radirs and whites ...beautiful car by the way

 

I like the idea of two different looks for the vehicle. Around town i probably would run it fenderless with the Radirs. If i was to take it out of town on the highway, i like the idea of the radials and the fenders.
The rod has not be driven or shown yet, as i have to get it registered. (it was a barn find) I was just curious as to what fellow hotrodders would say, and it's looking like there is no bias either way, which i think is cool!

 

Like most folks that are posting I like both versions. Personally I'd go with the fenders but that is because I like to drive on roads that aren't always completely free of loose gravel. Feeling and hearing rocks hit a car always makes me cringe a little.

 

oh , i forgot to vote , i say no fenders !

Great Looking Rod! I like the look of the Radirs.

 

Looks like i spoke too soon, no fenders & Radirs is starting to pull away!

 

Looks like the No Fenders & Radirs & Bias Plys is the look the H.A.M.B.E.R.S. like the best!
