Ryan.. you have your work cut out for you :)

I lurk there.. and don't post... because of all the crabby, spiteful, hateful, shortsighted, nasty old curmudgeons that just ***** on that board....

I just want to pull em all together and tell em.. " You know.. when you die.. soon... your kids will sell your ****... and we will be standing there with cash in hand... and we are going to end up hot rodding all the cars and parts you have been hoarding... your legacy... will be erased... with a hacksawblade".

It has the potential to become the premier shining star of Ford-dom on the net..

Lets hope the wave of change washes some of the dust out of that board.

I am sure we are 100% behind you on whatever the Atomic Network wants to do with it.

Hey Magnet, now where did I hear that before "I just want to pull em all together and tell em....................." Seems like yesterday. Oh yea it was! I'll be right in the parts line with ya! The crumudgeons on Fordbarn are goin nuts right now. Guess there must be some age where you just draw the line and say, "Nope, no more technology for me! gonna keep my VCR, dial phone, antenna TV and MAYBE dial up modem"

    Humanity is grouchy, period.

I've learned a lot over there and gotten a TON of good deals. Only knowing Ryan's online personality he seems to be the type that'll be able to transition the site and it's members successfully.

I feel for some of these guys,,they hate change as much as some of us older guys here do,,but Ryan's acquisition of the Ford Barn was and is for the best,,regretfully some of the old sages won't except what is offered and that is a loss for all concerned,,

I have noticed a few there that seem to enjoy *****ing about the change in almost ever post and it seems every time someone offers a positive helping hand they draw back a nub!,,these are the guys that dislike the Hamb and dislike the ideas of all us barging into their own little world.

With that said,,I have also talked to a few of the old time Ford Barn guys that are trying to wrap their collective heads around the new ideas and are starting to enjoy it. HRP

I have no idea how anyone couldnt think the new version is a 100% improvement, the old site was awful.

I only visited the ford barn a few times before Ryan took over & "fixed" it. I found that it was confusing as hell to try to follow a thread. maybe that is due to me being used to the way the HAMB (and the other forums I am part of) are set up. I had heard that there was a lot of good information over there but I found it to be like a strip club. You saw some interesting stuff but in the end you went home frustrated.

Since the new format has been started I have been over there several times & have even joined up. Thanks to Ryan for stepping up to take over.

I've been on the Fordbarn awhile and have lurked, learned and made some comments here onthe HAMB for almost the same amount of time. Think of it this way ....

If you were on the old Fordbarn and found it confusing and hard to follow, think of how those folks who were used to it feel now coming over to this format - see what I mean? You didn't go over there for the very same reasons they are feeling now coming over to this format.

People hate change and age does not help things any. There are a quite few old timers on there who are really going all out to make the transition, Ihave to say though.

Everyone just needs to give it some time - and Ryan is the perfect guy for giving them that time, showing them all what he can do and what the Fordbarn can become. I think his caring at***ude, patience, and willingness to help will win most everyone over eventually. Hey, and the new logo is great too ....

Just like any good hot rod project, not everythng goes as smoothly as you'd like or planned it to. So, you ***** a little (or a lot), you hang in there and maybe get away from it awhile while you figure things out, and then make the adjustments to get the end result you want.

I get that, I really, really hate change but the old Ford Barn was really confusing. The forums were ridiculous, you had to click a thousand times in each thread. The HAMB type format is as simple as it gets, click on the thread, scroll down, read.

I had an older gentleman tell me that he and his son, whom I would guess is about my age, think the HAMB is hard to use! I just don't see it.

Didn't know the new look was live. I'm heading over there now!!

Actually Ford Barn is getting a lot of positive feedback from people who thought they wouldn't like it, and they are publicly saying they were wrong.
