  4. I've been buying up old drag racing DVDs on eBay to watch for inspiration while building the FED, including "Inginuity in Action", Lots of great footage out there. It's a good thing my wife can sleep through engines screaming and tires smoking 'cause I watch this stuff every night in bed. :D

    More GOOD STUFF!

  6. It would be a tough sell for my Corinne to spend all day out there, and it's an all-day affair...

Got the front end on "Earl" aligned this morning, weatherstip will be here tomorrow, glass gets installed next Tuesday...I signed up for the drags, so as long as the trip down and the Caddy doesn't throw parts on the way down (it's a strong runner, but has some pretty good rattles inside:eek:), I'll have to make at least one pass...

Dad's following me down in the GMC, just in case:eek:

I think you, Charlie, and I should park next to the strip this year...thoughts? I'll be getting there early barring any catastrophe's...

Nice bike Tim. I'm a Royal Enfield man myself. 1961 Constellation. Hoping it will be the next project after we build our HAMBster.

    Yep, nice work indeed.

I'm a loop-frame Beemer freak, genetically incapable of building anything stock though .........
This one's a '55, first year of the R69 (#150), name's "Nightwind". Still have the original engine but its crank's broken so I'm running an "S" engine in'er (with the original derby adapted on ).
You should hear the howls from the purists. :D

Then you certainly wouldn't like what I once did to a '53 Norton.
9" over, rigid, Whizzer tank, ad chopeum. :D

In my own defense, it's a sickness. I've even violated young Hondas.

We'll be there no matter what.

I'm fighting like hell to get the Barn Job back together, the second clutch blow did more damage than I'd realized (pics added to album). But we have the parts in hand and I finally got far enough ahead on the bench to take this next week off and play.
So, barring any more crap the green thing'll be there too.
