    Hello Fellas.

Found this on a local marked site today.
The seller claims it to be a Italmeccanica/S.Co.T roots type blower.
Oh yes it says S.co.T made in italy on the font cover.
But the seller claim the blower housing to be just 5,5" long??
And it has only 12 ribs, not 14 as the more common type, like the one H&H
    repops.
    Can anybody help?

I can help, package it up and send it to me right away, I will get to the bottom of it. :D

  3. They made a variety of models -- the one you have was not the Flathead V8 version, probably for a 6 or 4 cylinder. Even the one they sold for flatheads really isn't big enough for a serious race engine . . . but that wasn't their market anyways -- it was a hop-up product for a stock motor. There are even bigger ones that they put on Cadillac V8's and other OHVs . . . wish I had one of those, would work well on a bigger flathead.

The one you're showing might work on a small cube flathead -- would be really cool on a V8-60 flatty! If the price is right/fair . . . and you can fabricate or build custom engines, then pick it up.

It looks like it is in great shape . . . so it comes down to price :D

Here is me at the Antique Nats in LA - about 1987 or so -- new motor, NOS SCoT blower and a lot of fun!

Thanks for the swift answers guys:)!
I probably just buy it, maybe someone can use it on an small engine, as
Bored&Stroked says. Allready has the 4-71 on the dragster.
Seem like i can get it for 500$!? To much or?

    Thanks Again!

  6. For that . . . I'd buy it, make a custom manifold for a V8-60 and have some fun! Hmmmm - come to think of it, I don't believe I've ever seen a blown V8-60 . . . all these years, just never thought of it. Anybody else have/see one?

Here is a pair of the larger ones on a 394 Olds. A marriage made in heaven.
And $500 seems a pretty good price. I'd buy it.

im not 100 sure but i think thats a
swedish surplus blower from a bomber
    to maintain cabine presure.
They sold them as surplus in the 60-70s
    seen them mounted on Volvos
    Ford v6s and VWs

If you look close in the background you can see a Latham SC on the 4 banger.

As would I. It looks small enough that it could provide a small amount of boost for my banger.

I'd want it for the V860 I'm going to put in my Model-Y

3-71 is just a bit bulky for it...

  17. See Ermie . . . I just knew that we'd find somebody with a fun V8-60 project who would love this little SCoT blower! If you end up with it, let us know - would love to see a nice little blown 60!

It'll be a bit before I can build it, but it will be built - got another year to do over here, then back to the states for good. I do have the Y here though...tempting to get started now if I had some motivation! ;)

Why can't I stumble upon something like this. I would at least like to hold one one day.

Hello! Italmeccanica have eight size on superchargers to car engine kit.
But this look like them they use to airplane or helicopter.
The 4500cc to flathead are 8 3/4 inch in rotor and house.Yes 500$ are a great deal so go for it.
