Heres pics of my car from 1978. I alterd the wheelbase in 1998 so can it be called a gasser back then ???

 

Heres two altereds from englishtown. looking for more pics of the jersey devil it is getting redone.

 

KOOL thread......... the Bierman Racing car is one of my favorites, got to see it ''sort of'' make a run the first year I went to the HAMB Drags.

Need to find a picture of my buddies Model A altered injected drag car. Someone might have pics already, it was the silver A sedan with a massive chop and the driver who is about 6'5" tall and 250 pounds looking over the roof line, it was at the HAMB drags last year.

 

[FONT=arial, helvetica, sans-serif]I doubt it. Dave Zachary (Owner/builder) was killed in this car when it flipped at speed and the roll cage failed. I read somewhere that it was cut into pieces and sold for scrap.[/FONT]

I've been thinking about building a scale model of this odd duck and need som more reference material before I can start planning the project.

Yeah, the key word being "had". The first time that chassis decided to droop a little he probably lost his balls, along with about 5 lbs of ass.

I believe the orange bimmer is from around MA somewhere. I see it every summer at local shows and it was at the world of wheels in Boston back in march.

Hotdamn I love this thread. Great pics everybody! I have a bunch of old Super-8 footage from OCIR circa 78-82 when I was a lil' squirt and me and pops would hit the drags every Sat. I'm having them transfered to DVD so once that is done I will try to post a few stills on here. I really wish drag racing would loosen up and we could see some more of these funk-mobiles smoking the hides and putting on a show!

here's an oddball machine i spotted at Portland drags last year, goggomobile powered by a supercharged vw engine, and it was faaaaaaaaaast.

Something that might be cool, find one of the Toyota V8 hemi's and stick it in there. That would REALLY make people scratch their heads! lol
