Plum................Nice shots from South mountain. It was good to meet the man behind the camera and all the great photos on the Hamb.. We had a great time Sunday and the weather was perfect. We had our little white Morris van yesterday but hope to have our 33 Willys for the next show:D.

Great pics Plum. Was good seeing you and Jeff. How late did you guys stay? Did you see my .000 lights in rounds 1 & 2? Ended up winning the race. Feels real good, it's been a while.

Not true.... my daddy still does half track burnouts in his '65 front engine rail. :):):D:D

As for this thread in general... it is amazing.... i LIVE for these old school racing pictures. I had the priveledge of spending time with Gene Winfield in Cleveland, and he spent a good two hours over breakfast telling me stories of track life with Tommy Ivo... I thought I had died and gone to heaven.

I remember seeing him at York US 30 with that truck and trailer with the clear sides and you could see the car inside. Does anyone have a photo?

I know the exact trailer you're talking about, my dad has pictures of it, I'll have to see if I can get ahold of them and scan them. Mr. Ivo was the first name in drag racing I knew(probably one of the first things I ever said, lol). Pretty much my biggest hero. Then it was Don Garlits. Yeah, I'm old school like that. haha =)
