I finally get to start an Art show. I took a ton of pics at the Showdown but here are a couple that I think came out good.

I know its not really car related but I made this replica of a 35mm camera out of scrap metal. The lense turns and the advance lever is spring-loaded so that it flicks back.

  10. Starting to get the word out again for the Alliance Auction at the H.A.M.B. Drags. I am going to be hitting up you guys pretty hard. Having artwork in the auction gives it a bit of elegance and respectability:D. Really, it's just my favorite stuff to offer up.

    "X" marks the spot.
Here's a fun one I played with this week.
Big turbo 6 and an X shaped sunroof filled with yellow plexi.
No grill and rear mounted radiators.

  18. Wow... Welcome to the Hardcore Art Lounge!

Here's one..Started drawing it yesterday- I'd like it ( though I'd hardly fit in it..)
So perhaps a space frame with traditional driveline/ suspension is the ticket.
    Hope you find it A-track-tive!

I'll be sure to post some art with HAMB-friendly cars in it next time, but I figure some of ya would enjoy these nonetheless.

heres a 1930 fiberglass grille shell that i restored and striped. i decided to turn this one into a clock. i also wanted to incorporate edge lit plexiglass into it as well. so i jigsawed out some flames from black and clear plex and black lit it from the center behind the clock.

  24. I haven't been around for ages, I don't do much traditional hot rod art, but I did this one for a buddy who just finished his pride and joy, a '32 Victoria.

Awesome stuff here as always! You guys always blow me away!

Heres what Ive been up to lately. Instead of painting with my acrylics, Ive been striping all kinds of stuff. Not to the caliber of the pros for sure, but Im practicing almost every day.

My real life signature happen to be my initials of my real name, RH. But my girlfriend looked at it the other day and said the R looked like a D. She said, "If thats a D then the rest looks like IP. DIP!!! hahaha! Your name is DIP!! hahaha!" She was thinking dip, like "what a dip" or dipshit. Thats fine with me, its kinda funny :)

But a smile slowly grew on my face. I said, "Yeeaaaaa... DIP! Thats Cool!! Like DIP THE BRUSH IN PAINT! Awesome!!"

Sooo, if I ever get good enough to start putting stripes on stuff other than goerge forman grills, youll see my signature, DIP. Thatll be my striper name. I think its pretty cool.

  28. I know this thread is for artists, but I have permission to post this. Besides, he does not speak English. I'm lucky to have a couple of the greatest Japanese artists very close by me (Fudemae and Makoto). This piece from Fudemae is one I've been wanting awhile, but missed out at the last show I saw it at. His stroke compliments his style so well. I got to see his studio as well. Any of you hard rock stars out there need some album art work or tour posters done, his style really fits the bill. More here: http://www.fudemae.com/
